I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with punching the ball if it was a penalty when you miss and hit a guy in the ribs or arms.

He does have a point here. It’s the job of the lineman to give the WR guidance when he lines up. Technically the WR has the onus of looking to the sideline and asking for help but that’s usually not a procedure they adhere to. They generally say “19 move back” or “19 move up”.

Yep. I see why they're complaining because if you're paying attention week in and week out, the refs help out the WRs a lot. It's rarely called because they almost always warn them first that they're not lined up right. Is it a little uncouth to complain this much and this loudly about it? Maybe, but I get why they could be surprised by it.

And in the both things can be true part, Toney is a fucking dumbass and should have known better even without the help. I've never got the hype around him anyway. He has never been good. But he'll get an opportunity and all these analysts act like he's gonna be the guy.

One other thing, and I hope the talk shows start talking about it more but I doubt they will, but this week proved yet again just how bad the NFL product is this year. There's bad football all over the place. Worst its been in years.

My team is 10-3 and yet I’ve been miserable on 13 out of 13 times coming out of a football game. Just a complete waste of a talented roster because of the holes and the two coordinators who weren’t ready to coach a team with real Super Bowl goals.

Lot of football left to be played. Purdy is still ahead of him in numerous things.

Think he was mad at the refs...
I try not to be blame the ref guy but the Chiefs got damn near every possible break last year officiating wise and it's humorous to see them handle their turn this way.

I mean...in a game this year their player took his helmet off (an automatic 15 yarder) and all the officials did was tell him to put it back on

injuries to the qb position. Even a guy who played through it (Lawrence) wasn't himself.

I think the real takeaway is teams gotta have a good backup. All this investment into the starters is causing teams to neglect depth.

we had the 3 teams make super bowl runs with backups in the 80s/ 90s and obviously the Eagles most recent. Backup qb needs to be a priority.

Some rather historic fines should be coming down today for Mahomes and Reid.

teams trying to get cute with rosters with only 2 qbs. Should be a requirement to carry 3 for the integrity of the game

have your star
your backup...the Brisset types
and your project young rook types.

the issue is we see guys like Stroud come in and dominate and we act like because DTR looks great against future garbage men he's the backup.

having a chase daniel on your team is huge for many reasons.

Mahomes is not being treated very well on social media. The Chiefs have had it pretty good with a lot of things going their way. Maybe they can use this as motivation.

I personally have an issue with their whole argument. If we’re being honest, there’s no way even without the hold on JuJu that they’re completing that ball in the Super Bowl. That call didn’t impact the play and yet it cost the Eagles the Super Bowl. But now it’s a great travesty because a legit penalty was called? Nope. Take the good with the bad boys.
