Yep. Eagles have always invested in the line of scrimmage throughout Lurie’s ownership in the mid 90s. The Chip Kelly OLs were plus OL. You had Jason Peters who is likely HOF at LT when he hangs them up. Kelce who may be a HOF (not a ton of centers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame but he has a great chance) and Chip’s first draft he takes Lane Johnson who is going on two calendar years not giving up a sack. I cited Foles because it was a run first kind of RPO attack where each play called for Foles to read one or two guys and then hand off or throw to 1 or 2 options. It was an oversimplified attack he thrived in. God Bless Doug Pederson who used the Eagles playoff bye to immerse himself in that Chip Kelly RPO scheme Foles ran and he employed that with Foles and rode it to a Super Bowl.
strong run game now...how did Ryan look with him?

I am eating crow too.

I will say though, to truly graduate, he has to play at this level for multiple years.

Lamar had an MVP season and has looked like an elite QB for stretches too.

Remains to be seen if Hurts can:

A: do it in the playoffs
B: do it year in and year out
Is the expert eating crow on him?

Who are you talking about? Are you talking about washed up QB Matt Ryan who has ignored the fact that Father Time won?

@dtgold88

nice signing.....they needed another bat badly--- and he is a perfect fit.

they needed a right handed bat.....him and Naylor can switch off between DH/1B and get spelled once in a while.

I had my major 2 needs as a right first basemen/DH and catcher.

I hate that so many teams are in on Murphy- that is gonna be a painful price to pay- but damn would he be a perfect fit here.

Bell and Murphy would lengthen their lineup so much. Arias- a SS- was playing 1B for the Guards against the Yanks.

hypothetically switching out Hedges and Arias for Murphy and Bell would be a tremendous upgrade.

Straw actually started to hit in September too- we dont need him to be great- just what he was when he traded for him- he was off all year at the plate.

Itll be interesting to see how Kwan, Gimenez, Gonzalez, etc. continue to develop- even Josh Naylor- not like he is some old vet- he still was getting healthy and I think he still has some pop that he can come into.
If it took Arias to get Murphy I'd do that, of course.....but have to say in his short time there in the playoffs he looked pretty good and seemed to hit the ball hard.

Not a betting man whatsoever.

Same here. I'm so bad at picking games I was trying to lose my fake cash and it took me three bets to finally lose one.

I was trying to lose and F'd that up!:pound:

I gave up on the last man standing pool for my keeper league. I do pretty well at fantasy football, but picking winners? Nope lol.

Talking about a guy who was at least OK on a pretty bad Atlanta team last season who badly regressed on a team that was thought to be poised for a playoff run.

I kinda miss fantasy football. Played for years. Then about four years ago made the mistake of joining two leagues and got burnt out. Next season though gonna start playing again.

He wasn’t “ok”. By what measure was he ok? His arm is dead. He can’t throw outside the hash marks anymore and the Falcons were a mess last year. Now he’s a year older in a new system. Weird that you’re taking this angle.

What’s your goal here? Stefanski is pretty neat. Way to go Stefanski! Is that the goal?

After each season I tell myself no more (burnt out), but by the following season I haven't cancelled the redraft league I run at work, am still in my brother's dynasty league, and am still in my online keeper league. I've thought about starting a dynasty league that fixes some of the problems with the one I am currently in (no taxi squad notably, along with some waning owners losing interest).

Falcons were a mess and his numbers were not that bad. Not what they once were but even worse this year on what was considered a much better team. do you really disagree?

No real goal here....just talking football. And, sure, seems like kooky talk to say any team with a decent RB and line could coax a top 10 season out of any mediocre QB (never mind seems like JB and Baker might not be mediocre).

I told you he has an explanation for why his take on Hurts may be invalid.

Already discussed that.
don't recall the details, but Seems he has an explanation every time he's wrong.

I really should have played this season. Next season it's only gonna be one league though.

This being the first time?

Yes.
Thought he was not so high on Tua who has turned out to be pretty good. Fields, as well (with a terrible supporting cast)

don't recall his thoughts on Herbert or anyone in the last couple drafts

He was actually very high on Fields.

Tua was more ambivalent.

Didn’t say he would be bad, but that he had some issues that would prevent him from being a stud.

And I would still bet on that proving true in time.

Fields and Lance exceptional

Jones and Wilson solid to good.

Lawrence no data.

They all did well, but Fields is the 1 to bet on of the 4. Wouldn’t bet against any being at least moderately successful.
He does look like he may have nailed it on Fields. Not so good on Lance (but cannot predict injury), Wilson or Jones.....but still early..
