He is certainly part.

Never said he wasn’t.

But there aren’t only 2.

Jimmy Garrapolo.

Mitchell Trubisky for a year in Chicago. Ryan Tannehill.

There are many examples just off the top of my head.
I'd say Jimmy G average and that's about how he plays. Trubisky a bit of a stretch. Tannehill kind of good and plays about like that. For sure his coach in Miami did him no favors.

Just don't think as simple as a strong running game and line and any mediocre QB could be top 10.

Nick Foles in Chip Kelly’s offense. Case Keenum in Minnesota
Keenum's QB coach was stefanski. went to Denver who had a solid running game and strong line and he was pretty bad, no?

Chip Kelly's offense known for a strong line?

Ouch!

But you aren’t wrong

Jalen Hurts perhaps too
You bastard! I’ve trashed the kid more than most here but he’s graduated from this kind of talk. For the first time since the early 80s when Plunkett and Marcus Allen did it, the Eagles in back to back weeks rushed for 350 yards and the following week threw for 350 yards (380 actually in just 3Q). This kid is a legit QB. I’m eating my crow. He’s seen a variety of attacks thrown his way this year and through 12 games he hasn’t had a bad game yet. It’s all been varying levels of very good all the way to awesome. I was a hater and he’s proven me wrong.

Yep. Eagles have always invested in the line of scrimmage throughout Lurie’s ownership in the mid 90s. The Chip Kelly OLs were plus OL. You had Jason Peters who is likely HOF at LT when he hangs them up. Kelce who may be a HOF (not a ton of centers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame but he has a great chance) and Chip’s first draft he takes Lane Johnson who is going on two calendar years not giving up a sack. I cited Foles because it was a run first kind of RPO attack where each play called for Foles to read one or two guys and then hand off or throw to 1 or 2 options. It was an oversimplified attack he thrived in. God Bless Doug Pederson who used the Eagles playoff bye to immerse himself in that Chip Kelly RPO scheme Foles ran and he employed that with Foles and rode it to a Super Bowl.

You just trying to start shit for no reason.

I don’t need to name Stefanski. He is a part of the system, is he not?

And actually, if you look at the numbers, his performance in Cleveland is pretty much right in line with what he did his last season starting in Indy.
BOOM.

You said Browns win the Super Bowl and now I can’t stop laughing.
It is rather funny.

However, if Watson can return to what he was with the Texans.....they have a shot during his tenure with the Browns.

If the running game continues to be strong and the defense can be what it was before this season.

I am eating crow too.

I will say though, to truly graduate, he has to play at this level for multiple years.

Lamar had an MVP season and has looked like an elite QB for stretches too.

Remains to be seen if Hurts can:

A: do it in the playoffs
B: do it year in and year out

Agree on A and B but have to say he’s not Lamar. I realized that in game 2 this year vs Minnesota. They sat in zone and forced him to be a QB and he was tremendous beating them from the pocket. That’s why Lamar loses in the playoffs. He can’t do that. At least not now and maybe not ever.

Bro.........when he gets in shape and some chemistry, Watson is a better QB than Hurts.
Well of course…well we hope. We can only go from what we have seen and hope it continues and possibly is better but Hurts is a dynamic player like Lamar and has chemistry in an extremely dangerous offense. Hard to not to like that, one of the best if not the best in the league

Eagles only need it to happen only…dynasties/great runs or great but I’m sure they would be fine with a SB this year and then falling off the map rather than Lamar…nice regular season and they lose every year in the playoffs. Never can get over the hump. Obviously you want the best of both worlds but very difficult to do in this league w/o QB’s like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Manning, Brady, Brees, etc.

They needed to make a move and a good deal. About damn time
@dtgold88

nice signing.....they needed another bat badly--- and he is a perfect fit.

they needed a right handed bat.....him and Naylor can switch off between DH/1B and get spelled once in a while.

I had my major 2 needs as a right first basemen/DH and catcher.

I hate that so many teams are in on Murphy- that is gonna be a painful price to pay- but damn would he be a perfect fit here.

Bell and Murphy would lengthen their lineup so much. Arias- a SS- was playing 1B for the Guards against the Yanks.

hypothetically switching out Hedges and Arias for Murphy and Bell would be a tremendous upgrade.

Straw actually started to hit in September too- we dont need him to be great- just what he was when he traded for him- he was off all year at the plate.

Itll be interesting to see how Kwan, Gimenez, Gonzalez, etc. continue to develop- even Josh Naylor- not like he is some old vet- he still was getting healthy and I think he still has some pop that he can come into.

I remember when we were 6-7 last season and made the playoffs down the stretch of the reg season.
