I wouldn't say everyone is on an equal level. But NIL and the portal does have the potential to give some programs access to players that they may not have access to otherwise. Theoretically, that should help the smaller/lesser known programs improve and maybe be a little more competitive.
Oh I agree. But these institutions have built a product and some are better suited than others. When I say equal level I’m saying that a true meritocracy can be created.

No question it’s going to have a parity effect of sorts on the top 20 programs at least, the ones that put money into facilities.

No excuses, I don’t make ‘em. Venables will be expected to achieve at blueblood level because that’s damn sure where he is at.

Bullshit. Trying to insinuate that if Venables fails it's because he is "too good of a person for this world" is an excuse.

You took it as one, that’s on you. Like I said I don’t make ‘em. If he doesn’t succeed he will be replaced, it’s that simple.

No if's, and's, or maybe's...

Love this kid...
Have to say BEFORE he got hurt he did not look like the best passer. My God can he move/run and buy time to hit wide open receivers though.

Clearly struggled from pocket but goes without saying his injury hurt him and his team. Tough break....should still win Heisman IMO.

Hey, I forgot to give my monthly TV report.

If anyone is looking for something casual, not to serious, that you can watch with your preteen and up….

Wednesday is FIRE.

We binged it Thanksgiving and I am surprised it was so good.
I'll eventually give this a watch.

Stumbled on something I have liked. Reasonable Doubt. Pretty sure it's a Canadian show. set in Canada and thought I saw CBC reference.

You took it as one,

That's because it is one.

Like I said, if he fails, it will be for the same reason any other coach fails. He was either stupid or not good enough at his job.

Clay Helton is one of the nicest, most decent human beings you'll meet. You won't find anyone at USC that will say a negative thing about him as a person.

He didn't fail because he was "too good a person"...he failed because he's not a P5 caliber head coach.

Regardless of why he might fail if he fails he will be replaced. It’s that simple. I’ve made the same comment about Venabjes since the day he was hired by the way.

Congrats Buckeyes. That’s a great big mulligan to lose a big game at home by a big margin in your last game before the final selection and you still get in.
absolutely.....and a case can be made to say not fair for USC who had to play while we sat at home. Then again, a case could have been made OSU deserved it more had neither team played as OSU lost to the better team and had a better win (while beating their best win).

OSU has been in that spot where if they lost CCG they are likely out....but we took care of business. USC did not.

I don’t think playing Georgia is a good prize. It won’t be close
Maybe...but Kentucky, Mizzou and even KSU played them close.

Doubt many gave us a chance with a 3rd string QB against Bama or even in 2020 vs. Clemson. we have a shot...hell, might draw UM.

Is it because of the Hendon Hooker injury? I hope that’s why because Tennessee beat Alabama head to head. Both neither won their division nor the SEC title. I get it if people say well they don’t have their Heisman candidate QB anymore and that’s what made them worthy. Even with that consideration, I place a big emphasis on the head to head meeting. That’s a real outcome not a projection.
It matters but that 63-28 loss to USCe is a killer. also a real outcome.

I think they’ll do everything they can to avoid a rematch in round 1. That would be a real slap in the face to Michigan.
