I think they’ll do everything they can to avoid a rematch in round 1. That would be a real slap in the face to Michigan.
Maybe...but if they think UGA is the clear top team and OSU better than TCU (assuming they choose TCU) is it fair to have UGA play OSU in the semis?

Wait, what? Some Sooners fans saying Riley isn't a good coach. Well holy crap. That's completely wrong.

Funny thing is, you never heard them criticizing him before he left and their narratives keep changing.

They started talking about how Sooners fans were wanting him fired because of the defense and not advancing in the cfp. When it was pointed out that no one saw or heard anything about fans wanting him fired, it was said that it was being discussed "quietly".

So apparently there was some secret cabal of Sooners fans who were discussing it.

They also said they were upset with "how he left", yet when you point out that there really is no good way to leave and ask what they consider the "right way"?....crickets.

Since 2003 Saban's won 7 national titles. Six at Bama & one at LSU.

So 13 titles, over half won by 1 coach and 6 of those were won at 1 school and you don't think that's mostly built on 1 program?

If Alabama doesn't win 6 NC's...wouldn't another team have won them? Wouldn't that then spread at least some of those titles around to other conferences?

They should.

Bama's resume is nowhere near the stuff needed to be the first 2 loss team in the playoff. Would be different if they were playing today and beat Georgia.
agree....pretty sure we missed out once as a 2 loss conference champ with a fairly strong resume. 2 loss non champ with a weak resume?

Take Bama's six titles away and the SEC still has the most titles of any conference this century.

OSU should be glad to get in with USC and TCU losing.

OK....but my comment had nothing to do with whether OSU should be in or not (or glad to be in any spot). If you are gonna jump in at least know what you are talking about.

You asked if it was fair to have OSU play UGA.

Fair for UGA, not OSU. someone said not fair to make UM play OSU after just beating them, so I asked if it was fair to make the #1 team play OSU if they believe OSU is better than TCU.

as I said, you might want to make sure you understand a thread before you reply.

OSU should be glad to get in with USC and TCU losing.

I think if it was a matter of them having to pick between TCU and OSU they'd put OSU in but to avoid the rematch they likely make OSU 4 here. And it's the right call.

OSU is definitely fortunate to make it in.

Yeah, even @Mecca would do this, even though she more like 1 of the guys with her in depth sports knowledge.....but she still has those female assets.

Jeff Brohm has done a pretty good job with Purdue. The first 4 years were meh but Purdue's patience has paid off the last 2 seasons. 9-4 and 8-5 and getting to the CCG? That's pretty damn good. Purdue doesn't get the best talent. He did a great job at Western Kentucky and is starting to do really well with the Boilermakers.
