Beat me to it.

Interesting information going into the series:

-Since snapping the 8 game losing streak, the Mariners are 7-2.
-During this 9 game stretch the Mariners are averaging 5.7 runs scored per game, in comparison to the 2.25 runs per game average during the 8 game losing streak.
-The Mariners were 15-17 at this point last year.

I would take a split in this series happily. Would make a 6-3 road trip and we would return home just a game below .500. Good to see the offense come alive the last 9 games. It will be tough to continue that since the A's starters are always tough on us.

Not 100% sure, but I believe the 2 losses were both Felix days. Odd.

Yeah, a split would be great. Hey mlb, it would be nice if we didn't play the A's every other series.

At least we avoid Sonny Gray. That guy has been tough on us twice already this year.

gray has been tough on pretty much everybody. a real talent.

i've been watching most a's games for the past week or so, ever since i stopped wasting time watching the mariners. they're a joy to watch. they just make everything look so easy.

If you were drafting a list of potential CY candidates, Kazmir, Chavez and Gray would all be in the top 6. Two no-names and one has-been. Why is it that everything Oakland tries comes out smelling like a rose and everything the Mariners try comes out smelling like shit?

Out of your list of A's pitchers description. You were accurate until you mentioned Gray as a no name. If you didn't know of Gray in college and that he is 24 then so be it. But ya, hardly a no name.

A's fans expect and demand a good product on a small budget. Talent evaluation for the way Oakland plays is crucial and often executed to perfection. We fans are rich with baseball tradition and have smart baseball fans.

You do realize the fans have nothing to do with player development, right?

The A's consistently take nothing and turn it into gold. Must be something in the water. I'm thinking it's probably all the raw sewage that leaks through the stadium

LOL. Oakland fans demand a good team but they don't mind if there is raw sewage in the infield and rats knawing on the french fries.

The Mariners sacrificed quality players in order to have a stadium that passes a public health inspection.

How does the thinking of "not minding" creep into your thought process?

Wouldn't expect anything less from Mariner fans however. Spoiled and happy with the best field in baseball. But yet satisfied with sub mediocre.

I wouldn't call Safeco Field the best in baseball. The Pirates new stadium is probably the best. But we do have one of the only two stadiums on the coast north of LA that can pass a public health inspection.

Remember when a game in Oakland was rained out when it was sunny and perfect outside? A's fans: demanding nothing but perfection!

Have you been to both? I have. Safeco is better.

The A's pitching tore us a new one last series.

Hope we do better this time.

The Mariners fan base is anything but satisfied with sub mediocre. If you read the comments by Mariners fans, not one of us is anything short of disgusted with how this team is ran and the performance we have had to witness the past 10 years.

Maybe just one guy....

But anyways. Your fans have always cracked us Oakland fans up.... So spoiled with that gem of a ballpark... Yet the couple dozen times I have been up there for games the fans are so not baseball people. They are more interested in being seen at the sushi bar than the game. I have allot more to say but will bite my tongue.

I have already had this convo with cezero and we came to the same conclusion.

Ya, we Oakland fans are very jealous of the ballpark up there. But that is where it ends. The two teams couldn't be more different as far as how things are ran at the front office level, winning tradition, and current product on the field.
