Mariners have signed infielder Danny Muno and assigned him to Tacoma. Played for Las Vegas last three years, cup of coffee with the Mets.

It's Gallardo and the Tacoma Rainiers for a starting rotation, guys missing from the pen, our ROY candidate out for a stretch, now Cano is out and to top it off there was an issue with the visa of one of our starting outfielders.

Can this get any worse really?

Wonder if they have another late inning comeback in them.

If the Mariners can manage to float around .500 until their starters are back, that would be really impressive. I hope they are back soon, it's pretty clear this rotation isn't going to cut it for very long.

Is there seriously no one better than Freeman in AAA to call up? I assume Motter would have played 2nd last night had Heredia not had Visa issues, but damn. I get that you don't want to call someone up to sit the pine but I have to think Peterson would provide something. If Cano is gonna miss a couple days, maybe bump Seager to 2nd and give Peterson a fews starts?

Realistic expectation is Paxton & Haniger could return at some point during road trip at end of May. Felix unlikely until some time in June.

Truth be told there really isn't. Peterson is a guy that I just don't think deserves a call up yet and doesn't match Freeman on his defensive flexibility. So unless they want to start adding players to the 40 man, Freeman is the guy. Right now the 40 man roster is a shit show with all the adding of pitchers due to injury. With Shawn O'Malley likely done until late in the season they will probably want to add another infielder at some point once the pitching injuries cool down. Possibilities being: Tyler Smith, Gordon Beckham maybe that new guy Seth Mejias-Brean.
