it was mentioned that the old thread needed to be cut ..(cuz i suppose it is sewn in..LOL)..no it was just getting a little to long and hard to follow..so here at the all star break we will start over..
with the mariners lower lvl's...and the best part..where we think it will get the mariners in the future

the numbers of milb players who. ever make it to the majors.?..they say=10.5 pct
going with those numbers as a baseball wide standard...you would like to tip the odds up to 15-20 pct
for your own organization

how do you do this..??..better drafting..how make it better.is..information...who has more and better information on players from HS.to collage..and international..can try to beat the odds..or just stay at 10.5
and take your chances

that said lets take a guess on how the mariners are doing..by a projection to next year.and possible/or probable advancements.. by lvl..the mariners have 8 teams from DSL to MLB..8x25=200+.cuz they alway's have to have more cuz of injurys..how maney more ..idk..but take a guess

starting with tacoma..(possable call ups)..or you might say fantesy..it is a projection
eric falia.....DH/rf
braden bishop..cf
joey curletta...1B
brison brigman.SS/2B..brison is a mariners future star..he will prob for sure be at AA next year..but i am putting him at AAA for now

starters..they could use a LHP after miranda departure
povse
jaminian
relief
art warren
matt festa..who we already see at mlb

Arkansas..with lewis at high a hitting 266..that s not all that good. and really need a break out this year in his first full year of not being injured..to warrent a promotion..but im going to have faith and put him at AA

there will be a void at AA..always is after the season is over..cuz all your 4 year and six year prospects
who have not made it on the 40 man...there contracts will be finnished.. as will the mariners rule 5 guy from a few years ago chuck taylor..a milb free agent i would like to keep,... for at least one more year

shy on outfielders at this lvl.unless bishop stays.they may have to fill with milb free agents
lewis
evan white
walton has already been called up and prob the starting SS at AA next year
nick zammerelli..while his numbers are not fabulous..i will still start him at AA and not send him down unless he hits under 230

you would like to send up joe rizo but unless he has a good second half,.. i wont here

starter ..with povse and jiminian moved up moore(TB) and herman will be gone as well that will leave
de jong ,bannister, and misiewicz ...which leaves a couple pitchers to be had ...5 or 6 and danny garcia would be ok

darren mcCaughan ...moven on uuupp...

relief
wyatt mills
jack anderson
seth elledge
danny garcia...would really like garcia out of the pin..and spot start..he..CAN strike guys out and the mariners need him at the next lvl

usually our AA is consiered the lowest lvl of your MLB team...as we see '.for example ..they brought up matt festa
so ill end here with this post and post my expected modesto roster in full ..in my next post cuz this one is getting long

CF.jimenez......,R/R 5-11

1B.ryan costello..L/L..6-2
2B conner Kopach...R/R
SS bobby honeyman..L/R
3B johnny adams..R/R..i looking for some R/R hitters..and although his ave is not good this year...he has hit 9 HR so far
and maybe they can help him in the spring for his ave
c..nick thurman..L/R
...............................
c ryan scott
inf kevin santa.L/R
of..arial sandoval...could DH at times hit 11 HRS so far this season..so maybe he will hit 16-20 HR this year

nick wells.......L/L
reggie MClane..R/R
raymond kerr....L/L
clay chandler..R/R....if they .all ...can make at least some improvment..they will have a good staff next year

i had to put kopach at modesto as well..cuz they need RHH who can handle that lvl..i would really like to integrate
this years draft class with the one before it..but it does not really work that way..and yet it sort of happened anyway

and the roster is not eched in stone..guys go up or down depending..like zack scott at clinton totally deserves to be at modesto cuz he is hitting 328 right now ..but i have to put kopach there

shopping list

as stated in the first post the mariners could use A LHP starter at AA..and sighn another for AAA in the off season or a waiver wire guy ..to fill the departed mirandas spot..i think this is elias last year he can be sent down..so make that two

mariners could really use A R/R HR hitting.. OF ..that is on the 40 man.that plays at tacoma..which would keep bishop at AA..cuz he has been struggling this year..
or a R/R CF would be ok ,..and that would send heredia down to fill that spot would be ok..a lot of fan's think this needs to happen sooner rather than later...i agree.

they could really use a 1B/Dh..R/R type at high A...which could be solved fairly easly..by next spring

as the baseball turns..lol( some drama to watch..lol)

i was holding my breath there for a while with rodrigez at everett..but he seems to have started to do as I always thought he would...i like to play him at first base ..but 2B would be ok as well..or like now ..an A rod type SS..LOL..high LVL utility is ok..LOL..gladfelter(6-4 200) i also had slated at 1B..but is playing 2b right now

cal Raliegh has not started as yet..and i do not know exactly ..how.. the mariners want to handle him..cuz cal is a big(6-3 power hitting..C..that i think can play 1B/DH as well (which would save his knee's some)

talking about these three guys, and you can ad pena to that list..why..mariners need a first base or two at clinton next year
these three guys are on my list...maybe replace pena

that said i will get down to a projected clinton team...with rodrigez as super utility gladfelter at 1B and cal at .C.
in the next post

and im looking forward to seeing how they( mariners draft picks) do at clinton next year

things happen...and then...voggy...now his ave is up a bit ..may look good to tampa
(keep cano=keep falia).im ok with that ..and falia replacing voggy

eavaldi ....and maybe gomez( if tampa trades for renfro)would be the guess
gomez would=heredia down..or up and down...lol
and haniger in center at times..lol

if this was the case....arrow pointing up(.AT the two posts above)...i could inVision a hernandez/eavaldi..tag team(wrestling..lol)
starting/pin..team..going 4 innings each.( more or less).would not know who was the starting pitcher that day till the last minute..depending on who they were playing

quietly having a good year ...closer joey gerber....was big ten closer of year or something like that..with 14 saves...
still doing well with 6 so far at everett

BEAU BRANTON....R/R..2B....5-7(jose altuve) modesto nuts............obp/slg/ave....= 14 at bats..429/571/429..well done so far

i dont think that the mariners will be going after middle infielders as a priority...in the next draft
the starting pitching is still the weak spot...of the mariners minors

and 1B... is.. a priority....so 3 or 4 in the top 10 of next years draft would not be out of the question

summary
mariners can afford to pick the prime talent..they want..in 2019..loaded with dominican(domi) OF guys below
they can take two CF guys high ....in next years draft..and push strait up to the big leagues(stower, mcgovern, bishop,
heredia)....gota like that
they could use a first base at modesto...or push from the bottom once again,..after drafting 4 to 6. with a couple being combo 1b/3b..or of/1b

not in as great a need...they will take more HS players..as they see fit

they should try for starters that can move quickly up the latter/or force other guys up the latter..at least 4 that can do that
then 4 more

then just fire for effect on eveything

that may seem like a tall order.....but really they can do it...and then they will still need pitching,..the next year...LOLOLOLOL
