Did you know the Cubs have not been no-hit since Sandy Koufax threw a perfect game for his 4th no-hitter on September 9, 1965? A streak that now spans 7,881 games. The next longest streak is 3,794 games by the Athletics, who haven't been no-hit since July 13, 1991.
Update: They were no-hit by Cole Hamels the month after I wrote this. The Athletics now hold the record for longest streak.

Did you know that 1990 and 1963 are the only two years where the MVPs in the AL and NL wore the same number? Barry Bonds and Rickey Henderson both wore 24 and Sandy Koufax and Elston Howard both wore 32.
Update: Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Altuve joined this list in 2017 as both wore number 27.

Did you know that a Canadian team has won a World Series more recently (Blue Jays: October 1993) than has won a Stanley Cup (Canadiens: June 1993)?
A Canadian team has also won a NBA title more recently (Raptors: June 2019) than has won a Stanley Cup.

One of my favorites that I've posted before

Take away all of Hank Aaron's HRs, and he still had 3000 hits.

In Joe DiMaggio's 13 year career, he averaged 34 HRs per season, and 34!!! strikeouts per season.

tony gwynn averaged a remarkable 1.287 hits per game, even counting his latter years.

by comparison (randomly selected by me):

Joe D - 1.275
ichiro - 1.164

From July 2, 1993 to May 14, 1995; Tony Gwynn hit .400 over 184 games with just 26 strikeouts in 802 plate appearances. He struck out twice in just one game. He also hit a 3-run HR that game.

Bob Uecker hit 14 career home runs. 3 of those 14 were off Hall of Famers (Sandy Koufax, Gaylord Perry, and Fergie Jenkins)
