Those are good lineups but I really don't follow baseball much as a fan. Its exhausting. It goes on and on

I thought that one of the new rules in baseball was that the shortstop had to be on the third base side of 2nd when the pitch was thrown. That groundball up the middle for the last out there in the 2nd looked like the Dodger SS was positioned on the first base side of 2nd. he certainly fielded it over there.

I didn’t see the play.

but the rule states that the SS needs to have at least one foot on the 3B side of 2B when the pitch is thrown. But he can range to the 1B side after the pitch is thrown.

That must have been what he did; cheated over behind second when the ball left the pitchers hand. I did notice that in extra innings in the post season the teams don't get to start with a runner on 2nd. That particular extra inning game between Cleveland and New York where I noticed that rule was out was probably one of the most entertaining baseball games I've ever watched
