elvira is 73 so noI had to start a thread just to ask one question---Is that Elvira in the Brewers sweater behind home plate?
Pitching is looking good for the Padres. But the bats tend to disappear at bad times. Not sure they can make it all the way.Good first day of games.
Rooting for one of the many upstarts to win but think Yankees may have this. Padres?
Manaea was terrible against the Brewers last week and has been terrible in the postseason. Hopefully he bucks the trend but I imagine he's on a short leash today.Somebody's getting eliminated today
Looking at the pitching matchups, Brewers look like the best bet to head home for the winter
Rooting for a team in the playoffs is weird, because it's short sample size baseball so it's almost competely random. Look at the first games, Tigers are now well positioned to knock the superior Astros out right away.Pitching is looking good for the Padres. But the bats tend to disappear at bad times. Of course I'm clouded by decades of never making it all the way.
If the pitching stays hot, they'll be tough to beat. And the deadline acquisitions of Adam and Scott we're huge. Suarez still makes me nervous.Rooting for a team in the playoffs is weird, because it's short sample size baseball so it's almost competely random. Also pitching is more important so the Padres are well positioned (hence my guess)
Then the season ends in November LOL.If the pitching stays hot, they'll be tough to beat. And the deadline acquisitions of Adam and Scott we're huge. Suarez still makes me nervous.
But I wish the WC round would go to best 3 of 5 and the Division Series 4 of 7.
They play 162 fucking games, why do they have to do 2 out of 3? You need 3 solid starters to make a deep run, but only one or two to get to the LDS.
They could go back to the 154 game season. Then the season ends in November LOL.
They could also cut ticket prices in half! So no lolThey could go back to the 154 game season.
Then keep it at 162 and add the playoff games. It's baseball. They stand around most of the time. They'll be fine. They could also cut ticket prices in half! So no lol
Just gotta account for snow outsThen keep it at 162 and add the playoff games. It's baseball. They stand around most of the time. They'll be fine.
