Gallo is setting records. Davis never showed that kind of pop before he was 20. Most players don't. Gallo has special special power.
Best case, he's still probably 2 years away. Nothing wrong with that. But his contact (.230ish BA) and SO ratio (35%) has got to improve. In late July, which is the last time I looked at him, he had something like 70 hits and 26 of them left the yard. That's truly amazing power.
No doubt. I am excited for him to get better at making contact. I don't expect him to be a hall of famer or anything, but he will add some nice pop at corner IF spot where it's a premium.
Well their best bat is at least gone for the next two games. Matt Garza can give up homers to other players.
