The thing that no one else can ever claim and this is what makes Jordan who he is.

Jordan was the focal point in the 90s when the NBA truly became Prime Time television.

Yeah, it started with Bird and Magic but, even when they came into the league, NBA Finals deciding games were on tape delay.

If it was Tuesday night, whatever regular show wasn't going to be bumped to show an NBA game.

Magic and Bird changed that but Jordan took it to peak level.

These guys don't make the money they make today if it wasn't for the Birds, Magics and Jordans making the NBA relevant.
This is all true, but it was also the age of huge expansion of cable, and with it ESPN for highlights and I think also WGN was included in most basic cable packages so everyone could see every Jordan game. Yes, Jordan made the NBA, but the coverage also made Jordan.

doubt anyone would disagree with that. I know I wouldn't.
And it was about timing more than anything else.

LeBron probably could have done it had he been around to play in the 90s.

I've always said...Magic and Bird saved the NBA and made it national. MJ (and the Dream Team) took it and made it international.

Not Just Jordan on his own. Jordan was elevated by a corporate machine of Nike, NBA, and ESPN as a mythological figure unlike anyone else in history. That's why so many Late Gen X/early millenials are so passionate in their emotional support of MJ. The NBA learned their lesson too... after MJ was suspended/retired, and then retired again... they never all joined together a road one horse. When the next generation came around, while Lebron was the man, the machine also featured Kobe, D-Wade, Carmelo...

Generations define norms.

I'm certain that had MJ been glorified from a young age, had social media, and been fully engulfed in our dramatic, narcissistic culture.. he'd be what is considered "soft" like all the players today. Jordan already happens to be softer than what his supporters claim. Jordan whined when he didn't get calls all the time, and he created drama in the Bulls organization. He flopped to try to get calls. The difference is, there wasn't social media with viral clips to show it, and public square forums like facebook and internet forums to talk about it.

My favorite Dream Team Quote involved an interview of Charles Barkley by foreign olympic reporters right before their first game against Angola. He was asked about his thoughts of his opponent, and calmly said: "I don't know where Angola is, but they're in trouble".

.. and they were.

he retired....but came back? Twice?
The guy is twisting and squirming.. just let him be. He's an emotional Jordan fan. He'll change definitions of words if he has to.

ning and flopping, that’s a laughing joke. In comparison to today he maybe did .05% as much as Lebron

Imagine being in today’s game leading the league to low nba ratings while crying and flopping non stop. Quitting on your team, walking out of games before the (th quarter is early. Having to toot your own horn and claim goat status while others know MJ was the goat. Lebron has longevity. That’s mostly all he has on MJ

So wait... Jordan is a fraud because he recorded more Steals/Blocks at Home vs. Away???

lol... have we done this same analysis with other players, or just Jordan? Do we have anything (other than the totals) to PROVE that Jordan was "allegedly" being handed Blocks and Steals out of the air?

Come on... I realize there's a LOT of insecure LeBron fans these days, but surely you guys can come up with something better than this.

Lebron fans are delusional as fuck. Lenin literally quits on plays, doesn’t get back on d, has been swept multiple times in the finals. Just got smoked 4-1 first round while having another top 3 player in the league playing alongside him, he was a different person for over half his career then he started the whining and flopping non stop and it’s been downhill with him and the nba since. He’s become more of a joke than anything.
