POVERTY FRANCHISE POVERTY FRANCHISE POVERTY FRANCHISE POVERTY FRANCHISE POVERTY FRANCHISE!!!

Dear Julio,
Please request a trade.. every other teams will instantly jump in despite your contract. You deserve better. Go somewhere else where you can win young man. They're wasting your talents here.
Not trying to be a jerk but if Jerry is serious about the strikeouts then Julio and Cal should be on the block. If you take out the 22 June and 23 August Julio is Kelenic. Obviously I don’t want them trading Julio but I don’t get trading a dude who has the upside that Kelenic does for literally nothing. Jerry says he loves controllable players but damn he likes trading controllable Mariners for peanuts.

I think Cal may be gone soon. Part may be K's, mainly because he has gotten rid of every voice in the clubhouse starting with Seager. I didn't think of it at the time, but Zunino was known as a voice others listened to. Marco for sure. Suarez for sure. Cal, get your realtor on the line.

I think it is safe to say it is 100% certainty that Cal will be traded either this next offseason or the 2025 trade deadline depending on how Hunt and Ford look. But ya no way the “core” stays intact. Those 3 are going to cost at a minimum $45 in just arbitration pretty soon.

Which Mariners ownership/management knew and that is why last offseasons BS about not giving out long term deals to free agents because of this core all graduating to bigger deals in 3 or 4 years was so full of it. Just lies. So sick of it.

Scott Servais said he understood the current skepticism from fans: “We do have a young team that is exciting. We do want to take the next step to win and again. We’re trying to do the best with the cards that we've been dealt. I guess is the best way to say it.”

Jerry Dipoto on the chances the Mariners would trade one of their starting pitchers: "I'd say it's less likely now than it was 24 hours ago."

But they are the fricking dealer. Unless he is taking a shot at Stanton, which is still dumb.

That is exactly what I said. Either he is losing it or he took a shot. Now that I read the other mention from Dovish about Servais being blunt, I take it as a dig.

Divish has a solid piece out about how the organization is crying poverty because the uncertainty with Root Sports…but it’s dumb. The uncertainty with Root should affect the Kraken and Blazers, not the owner of the station. And if only there were a few stars on the open market that could help the Mariners get a tv deal in Japan to offset all of the domestic cord cutters.

Ok, so if this is true how the hell are they going to make trades that will excite the players? In the piece I just mentioned from Divish, Servais admits this current isn’t remotely close to a playoff caliber team. I guess I am in the wait and see, but unless they raise the payroll to the luxury tax I don’t see how they can make moves that will excite the players and fans without trading from Gilbert, Kirby, Miller or Woo. I’m sure someone loves Hancock but not enough to get an impact bat by himself.

The Roanoke
@Roanokeseattle

Step 1: Trade Cano and Diaz for Kelenic and “payroll flexibility”
Step 2: Use “payroll flexibility” to lock up/extend Evan White and Marco.
Step 3: Trade Kelenic, White and Marco for “payroll flexibility”
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Championship

Jerry Dipoto on the RSN situation impacting the Mariners’ payroll:“I’m just going to focus on the baseball part of it. We’re here to try to build the best 26-man roster we can build with the short and long-term. I’m not ever going to talk about our budget.”

Jerry Dipoto expects OF Zach DeLoach to earn a big-league promotion at some point in '24. DeLoach's presence is a key reason Dipoto believes M's can absorb the loss of Jarred Kelenic. DeLoach, 25, was added to 40-man last month. Slashed .286/.387/.481 with 23 HR in Tacoma.

Guardians had a 2% chance of getting the #1 pick...and they did.
