Matt Barkley also was not 6’6, 240 with a cannon who could run. Herbert has all the tools to be successful and is sharp as well. We do project to be pretty good next year, he loves Oregon, grew up in Eugene as a fan and now his brother will be playing for us as a TE. I suspect the idea of playing catch with his brother in Autzen sounds pretty cool.

Lets be honest, only reason he is coming back is because he was promised he gets to create his own uniform combo next year that Oregon will wear once they are eliminated from the conference title in mid October again.

Good for Oregon, bad for Herbert in regards to his draft stock unless he really excels next year. If the Giants, Dolphins, and Redskins spend high draft picks for a QB in this draft(which is highly unlikely but I can still see one or 2 of them doing so), you'd have to think you have MAYBE 3 QB-needy teams next season and likely Tua and Fromm coming out so I can't see his draft status improving. If this is a decision more about enjoying Eugene for another season than best of luck to him, but it's not a great decision from a business standpoint
