Imagine how big the OPs hard on would be if Dak actually threw interceptions
- ignore the "simply elite" part and just focus on the stat

The Cowboys are fun as fuck to laugh at during the playoffs n all. But Dak has ate the Skins the fuck up his entire career. He's what? Something like 10-2 against the Skins.all the nfc teams hope jerrah resigns him.new QB probably may get Dallas to the superbowl.better chance than dak gave them

sure...Daniel Jones money would be great.I say if you can re-sign Dak at around $40 million a season for the next 3 seasons (3 year $120 million), it would probably be worth it.
I know what you mean. I remember when we could laugh at Washington during the playoffs too. Maybe you'll make them again someday soon and we can resurrect those laughs together...The Cowboys are fun as fuck to laugh at during the playoffs n all. and Jones was grossly overpaid. If he is the standard, than 80% of the starting veteran QB’s in the league should be paid over $40 million a year.sure...Daniel Jones money would be great.
psstand Jones was grossly overpaid. If he is the standard, than 80% of the starting veteran QB’s in the league should be paid over $40 million a year.
Unfortunately for your cap, your guy is about to be grossly overpaid as well.and Jones was grossly overpaid. If he is the standard, than 80% of the starting veteran QB’s in the league should be paid over $40 million a year.

No, it's just because he is an "ok" starting QB. You either pay them or you let them go and you can be sure it will be at least the "$50's"Yeah, it's looking that way. At least he's actually winning playoff games and has a Super Bowl appearance, and that's likely why he will get a big paycheck. I am hoping he settles in around $45 million for 4-5 years (although I'd be shocked it he isn't in the $50's) and gives the Lions a home town discount.
If the Lions can get him under $50 million per, when the salary cap grows in the next few years, they should be able to keep him near the 15% range of the team salary cap. I think that is manageable and allows them to financially keep a good team around him.
I'm not sure why you think he is just an "ok" starting QB. I think he was #2 in passing yards last year, and has averaged over 4000 yards a game the past 7 seasons. No, it's just because he is an "ok" starting QB.
Most things I'm reading predict $50 million as his ceiling, most predict in the mid to high the 40's.You either pay them or you let them go and you can be sure it will be at least the "$50's"
He is OK. Even in his best year in 2023 and with a really good rushing attack he wasn't top 10 in QBR. Which is likely why you can find a bunch of links stating he won't be getting $50M per when its all about next man up, not who is the best. You can't play it both waysI'm not sure why you think he is just an "ok" starting QB. I think he was #2 in passing yards last year, and has averaged over 4000 yards a game the past 7 seasons.
Goff is not elite, and has some flaws, but I think he is just a notch under elite (a B+ QB and likely a top 10 overall QB...at least the past 5 or so years).
He is a lot like Dak. The only real difference between him and Dak is the paycheck and the fact that Goff actually has a good playoff record. Goff has been underpaid for most his career, and in my opinion, Dak has been overpaid. That's not a shot at Dak, you take what they will give you, but he hasn't gotten the job done very well in January.

Is this an opinion based thing or are there any real stats to back it up your opinion? He is OK. Even in his best year in 2023 and with a really good rushing attack he wasn't top 10 in QBR. By the way, $45 million would have him tied as the #7 highest paid QB in the league...which would make sense if he were a top 10 QB. I'm not sure why you think others value him less than a top 10 QB if he were given a contract of less than $50 million a year.He is OK. I literally mentioned QBR which is one of the more widely accepted metrics for ranking QBs.Is this an opinion based thing or are there any real stats to back it up your opinion?
NFL.com had him ranked as the #4 overall QB last year. They had him as the #8 QB in 2022. NFL QB Index: Ranking all 66 starting quarterbacks from the 2023 NFL season
I've seen a few other rankings that all had him as a top 10 QB last season as well.
I'm biased, but I usually find that most sports analysts would disagree with your assessment that he is an "ok" QB, unless you label top 10 QB's in the NFL as "ok".
