so he is going to play a 43?
Your last statement is of deep concern. Dan is now making on the field decisions? Uh-oh. What's next, sending plays down from the owners box?Young, Sweat, and Kerrigan are all better with their hand in the dirt. Nice problem to have I guess, but I'm glad I don't have to figure it out.
I'm putting Young at one DE regardless. I also think we will see a lot of 5 man fronts with Allen, Payne, Ioannidis on the inside, and Sweat and Young on the edges.
We have versatility, we can rotate, keep fresh pass rushers out there. We will play a 43 base, but probably only be in base thirty percent of the game.
JP has made it clear that Dan is done with the 34.
We ran a 34 but never acquired a true nose.
the 4-3 isnt the panecea its made out to be . the issue with our 3-4 is we had terrible coaching , hasshit , barely , and shitsky
i say we let our DC do what he does best and is known for , looking at our personnel and deciding how he can put these guys in the best positions
right now we dont have chase young . he hasnt declared , and the team hasnt decided if a kings ransom of draft picks is they way to go
there is a good argument for both if you are being honest and if you know the trade offs
so lets look at the 4-3 with what we actually have
payne , allen ionman , and settle are my DT rotation . i dont think it gets any better . at de i have RK , sweat , and anderson . i put anderson at DE because i dont think he is athletic enough to be an OLB , who will have to cover backs out of the backfield . i think as a reserve he rushes the passer good enough and sets the edge in the run game
at MLB i like foster , at olb i like holcomb and SDH . i like bostic as a reserve MLB and i like angry orhard at OLB in resereve . JHC could also be in the mix
my cbs are dunny , moreland , FM and my safeties are collins , reaves apke and MN (for the time being )
we need a CB or 2 , a safety , a DE . (young could solve that )
now yes RK could be traded . and i would if the price is right but sooner or later this team has to treat guys like RK better and keep them till retirement , same with TW although it wont happen at this time
When Kerrigan says on an open mic that he wants to come back and is willing to do "whatever it takes" that is music.to my ears. RK can still play and if he's willing to come back on the cheap so he can continue to live in the area and retire a Redskin, I'm all for it.
