I am fine with Jack Del Rio, fits the good coordinator lousy HC role. He is not coming here to be a puppet. Del Rio and Rivera are both ex-linebackers. Just that would be a huge improvement over the goofball that was just here. If Del Rio comes also we are going to play some defense or someone is going to want to know why!

All it took was 10 bad seasons to get rid of BA. Might be another NFL record for the Redskins embarrassing record book. So we have Rivera and possibly Del Rio but who is the main guy picking players for us this draft. Rivera? Are they looking for a GM or is Rivera GM/coach? Haven't been really following. Promote Williams? Regardless, Id never thought id be so giddy about a 3-13 year but man o man,,, Snyder finally making a change to what hasn't worked. Don't know where we go from here but for right now im a little hopeful for this team again.

No matter what system they run they need people to run it correctly. That is the most important thing. Attacking the wrong gap ... not following your assignment in zone or a combo defense by the DBs does not work no matter what system is used.

Having said that I believe we have in Rivera and also if Del Rio comes a more aggressive defensive coaching staff. Rivera has coached both 4-3 and 3-4. Rivera played in Buddy Ryan's defense. Tall order but I would love to see Rivera with Micah Parson's at the Mike.
