One thing Dan can do is close a deal. If Dan wants him, he ain’t leaving the building.

He is a good closer because he over pays.

You’re probably right.

Schaeffer or Kyle Smith or Doug Williams.

You good with that?

I’m not thrilled with those choices...
Nope. We need a GM that has worked in a successful organization and knows how to build one. None of our internal candidates have.

Well that’s the first thing Snyder has done right in a long time. Long road ahead but welcome back from Bruce Allen purgatory as long as Snyder stays out of the way Washington could be on the rise.

congrats Rivera should do well in DC :suds:

I am happy with the hiring but guarded. I like that they hired a defensive oriented HC. He played under Ditka so I don't think he will take any BS. I like that. He does seem to be well respected by his former players.

Schottenheimer, Gibbs and Shanahan ... all much better coaches failed here or at best were mediocre. Gruden's middle four years were better than any of the three guys I just mentioned so we'll see how it works out.

Amazingly, despite the redskins systematic dysfunction, they were Rivera’s first choice as a team he’d like to next coach.

I guess the redskins arent as woefully talentless as reported.

If Rivera is in charge of player personnel it would be a good thing.
