There are a few stupid teams like Minnesota that would give the Pats a high draft pick for him. Why? Ride him till the wheels fall off. Jimmy G has more upside in a trade, age, contract, not locked into a system.
Worst case Brisset steps in when Brady is no longer productive. That's not terrible from what he has shown us.
I hope so? No telling at this point. Lots of misinformation being released. There are a few stupid teams like Minnesota that would give the Pats a high draft pick for him.
Yes it's called misinformation. Or maybe they're not? Every team does it and we're talking BB here. He'd trade his mom if the deal was right.Word from Patriots management is that they are not looking to trade him.
He may be? But depending on what TB12 actually does kind of forces BBs hand. NE would need to franchise Jimmy G next season if TB doesn't retire. I don't see BB paying two QBs starter $. Then what happens the following year? Tag him again? No way. Jimmy wants to play and get paid. What does that do to Jimmies attitude?I agree but I thought Garapolo was the heir apparent to Brady.
If Brady goes down with an injury the Pats will need an experienced QB to replace him. Garapolo already knows the system. He may be? But depending on what TB12 actually does kind of forces BBs hand. Best option for NE is to trade Jimmy G for the most they can get. Get Brissett more snaps as the number 2. Draft another project and hope TB12 has 3 years of quality football left in him???
Then again likely only BB knows what Brady is thinking. Or maybe BB holds onto Jimmy and trades TB12 next year. Gets a boat load of picks and JG becomes the new NE QB after all this is BB we're talking about. In BB we trust. Sometimes we're afraid of things we don't understand
So does Brissett. He did well last season even with a thumb that needed surgery. He's a different style QB that's why he needs more reps. Most teams suffer when their starting QB goes down, even NE. There aren't enough quality starters in the NFL. No way Jimmy should be sitting. That's why he'll command such high value in a trade. If Brady goes down with an injury the Pats will need an experienced QB to replace him. Garapolo already knows the system.
If the Pats get a 2nd round pick for him they should rejoice. So does Brissett. He did well last season even with a thumb that needed surgery. He's a different style QB that's why he needs more reps. Don't apply for any GM jobs. Apparently the un-named sources seem to be agreeing with me and many others. He was a 2nd round pick. If he were coming out of college this year he'd be the top QB. NO WAY does BB settle for only a 2nd. He'll hold onto him and during the season a QB will go down. They will come looking with a blank checkbook. BB will get more than a 2nd round or JG will stay in NE.If the Pats get a 2nd round pick for him they should rejoice.
The Vikings are famous for making bad trades. Remember all the draft picks they gave Dallas for Herschel Walker? The Vikings set the market price for QBs last year trading a 1st and a 4th for Bradford.
If the Pats get a 2nd round pick for him they should rejoice.
Care to expound on that? Jimmy is much younger, faster, healthier and can go to a team on his current rookie contract which will be way less than what Tony will get paid. Oh yeah Jimmy has two rings and all the expirence that goes along with a team dealing with playoof and SB pressure.I'm sure Romo has more market value than Garapolo.
Garapolo hasn't proven he can be a reliable starter in the NFL as he has been predominantly just a clipboard carrier behind Brady. Romo has proven he's one of the best QB's in the NFL.Care to expound on that?
