Do Your Job!
Would you want Cleveland's #1?
Would you rather have a mid 1st and mid 2nd?
Cheaper to sign and keep?

Waaaaaay too much to ask.
Waaaaaay too much to ask.
I'm going by what other teams gave up for QB's who haven't even played a down in the NFL. It's not too much.
The thing that helps NE is a weak QB draft, a lot of teams looking for QBs and not a lot of quality FAs.Jeff Fisher doesn't coach in the NFL anymore. You're not getting two 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd for a guy who was taken in the 2nd round.
You'll get a 1st and a 3rd. Maybe a 5th or 6th rounder to go with them.

The thing that hurts them is the Oz fiasco. He was unproven, got paid and pretty much shat the bed.
Shizer from ND is the only for sure 1st rounder. Trubinsky from NC projects 1-3 round. Everyone else falls to 3rd or lower. Not a lot of shinny toys out there this year. Sure draft day hype could flip the projections as teams get cold feet. But Jimmy G to me looks as good if not better than all these kids. Plus he's learned behind Brady for four years. Not to mention that mystique always trumps all. A super hyped up rookie who has never played in the NFL is always more attractive than a guy like JG who has already been unwrapped and driven off the lot. That's just the allure of big name rookies.
I think you only get two firsts from Cleveland considering they have the extra first this year.I clicked on this thread because the bears need a QB and I like Jimmy G.
Either way, my team has learned that trading multiple firsts for anyone is a dumb idea. If your asking price is 2 1sts, you may lose him for nothing after next year. I'd reluctantly give up a 1st and a 5th. New England makes QBs look much better than they really are and I think teams are realizing this.
Yeah, Cleveland might do it. You are right there. I would hope everyone in the NFL has learned from the jay cutler debacle of a trade though.I think you only get two firsts from Cleveland considering they have the extra first this year.
Tough year for teams looking to upgrade at QB and Oline.
Shhhhhhh let them learn after this oneYeah, Cleveland might do it. You are right there. I would hope everyone in the NFL has learned from the jay cutler debacle of a trade though.
I figure keep him... When Brady hits the wall, it won't be pretty, and that wall could very well be next season.
Why? Ride him till the wheels fall off. Jimmy G has more upside in a trade, age, contract, not locked into a system. How?
I don't like it, Pats fans don't like it, Brady fans don't like it but the smart thing to do for the team......trade Brady.
