OKC obviously is a sound choice but I really dont know why they would do it.

They already have a legit championship window that could even happen this year if things break right. Idk why youd mess up such a well built foundation to bring back the guy who left you when hes in his twilight.

agreed, OKC is in a good spot, why bring in a sulky Durant?

Durant isn't a leader, so it's not like he's going to provide leadership to a young team.

Man I am glad we are moving away from the whole super stars teaming up to win era. Now we are back to team basketball. I hate OKC and wish the worst on them but it is a breathe of fresh air watching a unit go out there and play as one instead of one or two guys having to win the game.
The KD Warriors were as superstarry as it's possible to be, and they played a beautiful version of team basketball on both sides of the ball.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Then why trade?
Because keeping this $150 million trio to lose in first rounds is worse

Trade KD and Booker for picks and very young players, and expiring deals. Plan to compete in 3 years. Don't waste everyone's time being in the middle, the worst place to be.

No but even this season I keep hearing he's top SG and now that PHX can't trade him.

I agree their owner won't, but he shouldn't be untradable.
Booker is tradeable...Beal is not with that contract and being significantly older

You know it, I know it. He will ask soon. That was a one year go for it that failed. They have ZERO assets to improve the team, no cap space, Booker and Beal give you the exact same thing (scoring, no D) and KD basically now that too, coach is dead man walking

There are places he would fit great like OKC (too weird to come back?), Cleveland (eh), dare I say Golden State?(can say it but they don't have enough to trade), Lakers (same), New York, etc

Who's got enough to trade and who'd want it?
If Cleveland was smart they would do this in a heartbeat. I would give up Garland and pieces. They don't have many future picks but a core of Allen, Mobley, KD and Mitchell. Put shooters around them and that would be ideal.
I'm not sure he would want to go to Cleveland though.

I'd bet Phoenix would want Mobley instead of Garland.

Spurs with Wemby would be a good move

No it wouldn’t. By the time the Spurs round into being a contender KD is looking at retirement.

I’m sure they can upgrade their bench a bit. They will get some nice draft picks

Wemby is gonna be a beast if he stays healthy. KD has a few good prime years left. And Pops knows how to coach
Wemby is too young to be the main cog on a championship team.

How are you putting together enough salary from the Thunder in return for Durant? It would take 1/2 of the team.

I believe the thunder have some serious amount of cap space to make it workable without matching dollar for dollar

I would be completely shocked. If KD has a swan song in the OKC it’s still a few years away when he would likely come off the bench.

I always thought the bulls and laker teams were very well coached and put together. I don't believe they carried their respective team.

They didn’t.

Not when those teams were winning championships.

But that is the revisionist history.

I doubt the recent owner is ready to rebuild already.
