This might sounds stupid, but with all the talk about Stoops possibly a candidate for the Florida job, would he even consider the Nebraska job if it were available? Unfortunately the Nebraska job is a step down from OU. Plus I think with his connection to Pelini, my guess is he would have serious reservations about taking over Pelini's old job. And I think I just wasted all of your time.

Taking Andy Ludwig would be awesome. He's called better games as the year has gone along, but his decision to start Tanner (leading to the Stave yips) is the only reason we aren't 10-0 right now. Wisconsin has a coordinator who would make an excellent Head Coach, but you are looking at the wrong side of the ball.

I want a guy who's going to take matters into his own hands. When the goin gets tough on the field, I want a guy who's going to get in his pickup and drive out there and run some one over.

I need someone who's not afraid to drag a bitch down the stairs!

Someone who is daring enough to drive drunk everywhere he goes.

That's what I'm looking for in a coach.

Time to get in unconventional fellas.

The next Chip Kelly is sitting in a jail cell, and we gotta get him out.

So you want Gary Moeller?

Only if he drives pickups on to football fields and tries to run people over when he's pissed.

I want a man who know what he wants and makes decisions on the fly.

no Coordinators from other colleges, none. okay, I'll make an exception for Smart from bama and only if he brings Kiffin as the OC.

It's gotta be someone with HC experience and not 1 or 2 years, but someone that has clearly shown he has connections across the country and through both NFL and NCAA teams so he can bring in good assistants.

I'd also take someone from the NFL if it's the right guy, but I quite frankly don't know NFL Coordinators that well. Penn State made a great hire in O'brien, I'd want someone like that.

Previous experiences with the hiring of a former NFL coach does not give me much confidence in hiring another.
If a change is to be made, I would prefer a career college coach. Even an OC/DC coming in to coach would be ok as long as they are not journeymen who have traveled from place to place every season. Someone with several years in a top program learning what is needed to make a program successful. AND, a good recruiter.
