I remember this thread, for once I was on the right side for 2 years.

Crazy what just a couple of years can do to a guy. Remember this is the guy picked 2 spots ahead of Swift and 9 spots in front of Taylor.

Projection (pre-season) - via ESPN Matthew Berry
2020 (rookie year) - RB5
2021 - RB15
2022 - RB30

Final ranking
2020 - RB22
2021 - RB46
2022 - not worth his ADP, currently going as RB25-27ish

funny thing is you didnt fix it you made it more complicated and ugly... so here i think you BIFY(broke it for you)

I filled in the blank...that's fixing it

only thing broke in this situation is CEH's talent level compared to the NFL game. shocking more one-hit college wonders don't do well at the pros, I know.

No you broke it, because He already said where he was being taken, and then you inserted when he was being taken and used a different number( one was probably PPR and the other wasnt)... so yea you broke it and should be ashamed

The funny thing about LSU was that there were a decent number of people thinking Joe Burrow wasnt all that great and it was his weapons around him. Even heard some comparisons to Andy Dalton back in the day. Instead, CEH was the Andy Dalton.

No idea why his ADP is still so high. Last year you could run on the Chargers for free and CEH wasnt worth it. I do think he is still an 'okay' player and not a bust but he is JAG and you shouldn't be drafting JAGs at their upside.

If he is worth 25-27 ish and he is currently the 30th taken then he will be worth his draft pick.

Right there with you Shane.
I was convinced the Chiefs would take a RB that year, and equally convinced that it would be Swift or Taylor..outside shot at Dobbins, as I was already convinced CEH was a poser.

Was shocked when they announced the pick

And that was the first time that Joe Burrow got the best of Mahomes, but not the last!

In all seriousness though, if the rumors that Mahomes was lobbying for CEH were true, I have to assume at some point before the draft started Pat and Joe chit chatted about things

Joe Burrow did call CEH the best player he'd ever played with. Joe is playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers.

I'm firmly convinced Mahomes got CEH drafted. Mahomes did convince Nagy and Veach to draft him afterall. The owner went to SMU and the Chiefs backup QB and Rashee Rice got drafted out of SMU. Rice also got the approval of Mahomes. Chiefs first round pick this year lives in KC. They have a lot of analytics and a good system but there is also an old boys network of sorts.

Mahomes is one his way to being the Lebron of the NFL. That is a great thing for tons of reasons but bad in the sense, whatever he says-management will listen. Lebron liked a guy and his team would sign and it didn't always workout. Just something you live with when you have the best player with that much power.

If La'Mical Perine beats out CEH then he'll be out of the league in less than 2 years.

I would also like to reiterate my stance that folks need to quit listening to fantasy "experts" for draft advice. Half of them dont know fantasy much less true talent evaluation. Every year the media has most of the draft wrong.
