An 0-5 team in my 12 team dynasty league just traded his 1st next year for Bell.... Hmmm, wonder why you’re 0-5, bro?

Aging RB's are worth a 1st, I guess.

Don't like spending a first round pick on any RB, you can get RB's later on, (James Robinson) BUT.....if you are going to draft a RB in the first round you go for the best RB available, that was the 226 pound/4.39 Doak Walker Award winner Jonathan Taylor, not a little 4.61 dude who had far far less NCAA producion than JT.

CEH is quick and elusive but not going to be your bell cow.

So just going by a ESPN PPR league CEH finished the 2020 season as RB23 after being projected in late Round 1 - early Round 2 (I'm sure non-PPR was worse).

This season he is projected RB14 which seems to be a Round 2 pick give or take.

Did you take him in the 2nd round? If not, when did you draft him? Do you think he is worth a 2nd?

Depends on where in the 2nd and who else is there. But, probably not.

Keep in mind he sat some games and was not used preserving him in others due to injury. He wasnt as expected, and on a ppg basis, he was quite good.

I took him late 2 in my only fantasy football team this year. I think if you get an RB in rd1 that you know for sure you are starting every week then CEH might be a good play at the back end of rd2. I do like that the Chiefs oline seems to suggest he'll have a good year but the issue I have is whether or not the tiny guy will stay healthy. This is a big issue because I think doing a handcuff on him is a 50/50 gamble because the Chiefs #2 RB and #3 RB are darn close to equal imo.

The only real reason to take him in rd2 is that WRs are a dime a dozen.

But he was picked between RB6-8 is my point.
Compare him to Chubb (missed one more game than CEH-5 total). Both were being picked around the same time, actually CEH a little higher in most draft I saw personally...Chubb outscored him 217-171 in PPR. He wasn't 1st or 2nd round worthy last year. Sure he was good but he wasn't projected to be good but great. Chubb was injured and still got RB10.

He did. That happens. Im just saying on ppg basis. He wasnt insanely far off from his draft capital. Your round1 pick may not be your best guy…but you want stability for sure. He was stable…

CEH went top 5 in one of my drafts last year...pretty sure before Dalvin and Kamara but don't recall

wait until round 3 if you want him, give me one of the top tier WRs in round 2 or even Waller over CEH.

so many mid-round RBs I like more than him this year, especially with the few injuries we've already seen giving even more RB options in the 4-7 rounds

I am not as high on CEH as some are (as evidenced by this thread).

In an effort to be unbias, many complaints from last season had to do with the fact that he is not used much in the red zone, especially at the goal line.

To be fair, CEH was used in 24% of KC's red zone touches.
Hill and Kelce were used in 14% of KC's red zone touches.
However, CEH only had 5 TD for that juggernaut offense.
By comparison, Hill had 17 TD, Kelce had 11 and even seldom used Hardman had nearly as many as CEH with 4.
Fellow RB's Demarcus Robinson and Le'Veon Bell combined for 5 TD.

Hope this helps you to decide.

I will say that last year's Chiefs game in week 1 was basically the beginning and the end of his fantasy value. We saw that some teams would let the Chiefs run all day. We also saw that the Chiefs oline was trash at run blocking around the goal line. CEH in general is also not going to be that difference maker around the goal line. I do like the changes that the Chiefs made to that oline unit but the reality is that as much as I like it, that unit is still pretty unproven and as averagejoe just pointed out above me, its entirely possible that Reid defaults back to how he ran things last year and the TDs wont come.

If I drafted my team now instead of when I did I probably would've picked a different RB. Jerick McKinnon looked solid in preseason and Darrel Williams is...okay. He hits holes quickly so thats what you want in the red zone. CEH might get you to your fantasy playoffs but when they roll around Andy Reid might have no issue relying on the other two RBs. Damien Williams a couple of years back was decent for the Chiefs but Im sure you didnt want to draft him in rd2.

He fucking sucks. He's not Brian Westbrook. If he played at Villanova in college no one would have drafted him. What a worthless piece of shit.
