Agreed. He looked amazing with a clean pocket but I worry when he's going to face more pressure and have to throw balls into much tighter windows.

Cal should be a pretty good test. They have some solid DB's.

Amazing how a more dynamic passer and some really solid performances by several different receivers can suddenly make an OC look a whole lot better.

I know folks are going to say "hey you got to root for your conference teams as well" but this lose was one of the best loses I've have ever had the most amusement watching!

Petersen saying Laiatu Latu will most likely be playing more than 4 games this year and won't redshirt.

I dont see the problem here. He looked like a jr/sr out there in his first game. His safety play in that game was ridiculous.

I do suspect he will eventually end up more dedicated at the DE, than OLB, as his career continues at UW. He's going to continue to put mass on that frame and will end up way to big for OLB as his primary role. But going to be great to watch his development. He's already looking like an absolute beast. What a coup by the Huskies to land that commit.

Yahh. That's some trash talking I can appreciate. Confirmed I'm getting the game on tv on the island this sat and then head out for the UH v beavs game.
Hope we rip Cal a new one. They're competitive again with Wilcox, and can play D, but we should smoke them given our talent and home field.

Vegas agrees as well. Line opened around 11.5 and has shifted to 14. Given that it's still early and Petersen's team looked the more prepared last week, they lost to them last year and no player will take this for granted, and it's at home, I would expect a complete pounding, but not a terribly high scoring game. The O/U right now is 43. So the vegas line is around 29-14.

Part of me really wants to take the under, but this new offense is built to hit home runs now and Cal didn't look nearly as solid this week as you might expect on defense.

Weather looks to be dry and cool for a late game and very mild winds. Perfect for a few 50y bombs.

Chance to turn a few heads nationally early in the year while everyone else is still in the silly season.

Montlake will be rocking this weekend.

The Latu takedown. Hope he's got couple of those ready for the Ducks when they come to town. Good god, that's a freaking freshman.


And the Eason bomb on display as well. I think that's the difference he brings. Explosive play factor with that cannon of an arm he's got.
