Agreed. This probably took place along time ago (before Gabby's surgery) and before July 1st hit. DWil may have thought he was in the running for Ryan Suter to replace Boyle. Probably just something that both GM's kicked the tires on. I doubt it "almost happened" like Bucci wrote.

Boyle's NTC is a limited one where he can pick any 8 teams he CANNOT be traded to. The other 22 teams are fair game. I doubt NYR would be on his forbidden list. I have no idea what Gabby's NTC looks like though.

Well the Sharks have Boyle, Burns, Braun, and Demers who are all puck movers and all play the right side. For the Rags it probably would have been a move so they could make an MDZ+ for Nash trade.
