Now all of the local media have built Johnathan Taylor into the greatest RB in the history of football and and it will be near impossible to stop him. How soon we forget Bo Jackson, Gale Sayers, Jimmy Brown. None won a title. Taylor hasn't either.

He has two legs. Wrap them up and he will fall down.

Pats and BB still living rent free in Gregg Doyel's head

I seriously doubt BB cares at all about the negative press and I'd even bet he appreciates it on this level: vitriol like that is sourced from the deep passion within the NFL fanbase as a whole. Without the passion amongst all teams' fanbases (and media reporting to them) then the NFL would cease to be a lucrative enterprise.

I remember an article a few years back (after a SB win)
The author was talking about the rivalry between fans.
Hater teams could not say anything meaningful about the Patriots during banter
so the default became yeah but you cheated.

Indy has not beaten us since 2009 so "yeah, you cheated!"

Patriots downgraded Damien Harris (hamstring) to out for Week 15 against the Colts.

Harris was limited all week and looked set to play. It's not clear if he suffered a setback at any point or if he never got to the level where he felt comfortable in game conditions. If one were cynical, one might suspect the Patriots of playing games. In any case, Rhamondre Stevenson is now set to handle the starting job against the Colts. He looks like a low-end RB1 despite it being a difficult matchup. Harris will look to return when the Patriots take on the Bills in Week 16.

Stevenson and Bolden will handle the running.

According to some reports today, Mac has thrown about 500 very short screens in practice. It appears that the Patriots will use a short passing game to supplement the running attack.

One other report said that Mac was throwing all passes downfield at the safeties. They seem to be indicating that the Patriots are going to attack the Colts safeties and stay away from the corners. Mac Management.

What a long assed day this has been. I went out and wrapped the A/C unit this morning, It started to snow. Went to grocery store for the Mrs. and have been watching the movie, The Last Duel. It's supposed to be based on a true story and events. Things were not very exciting in 1390 Normandy. I'll finish the movie, have some beef stew and hopefully not fall asleep before the game. Two and half hours to go.

NFL Network talking about the NE/IND rivalry.
Is this a rivalry?
Can it be a rivalry when one team has consistently beat the other rat team?

This isn't looking good at all.

Isaiah Wynn gives up a sack and then runs backwards into Stevenson.

Meyers can't pull in a perfect pass.

Play is bad across the board.

Colts are fired up and the Patriots looks like they missed the plane.

He is a stud. However, NE held him to 3.7 yards per carry before that long TD run while playing a lot of nickel.

Well that was ugly!

Out muscled on both sides of the line looked to me as if they played with no heart. This was a game they could not afford to lose and they played listlessly

The Patriots looked like the Patriots in the second half. Down 17-0 and Indy got one FG until the stupid Buffalo Bills defensive alignment with under three minutes in the fourth. Mac brought them back and the defense let the team down.

Both teams had a bye week. Hate to say it, but Reich prepared his team better than Belichick.

But let's not jump off a cliff. If that game had been played in Foxboro, I honestly believe the result would have been different. Colts have not played anywhere but warm and clear weather. They've actually lost most of their games at home this year, much like the Pats at the beginning of the season. Patriots can't really afford to lose another game because all of them are conference and/or division.

Buffalo, Jacksonville and Miami.

A lot of things went wrong, but change just a one play and the outcome may have been different.
  1. If Mac's first interception didn't happen and the Pats score
  2. The Punt is not blocked
  3. Belichick goes for it at 4th and goal and the Pats score...
Any one of these change the game dynamic and that last JT TD run probably doesn't happen.

Now put that in context with what both of you posted, which are totally correct. The Pats truly laid an egg, but were still within a few plays of being in the game. The offense was missing blocking assignments all over. Meyers was atrocious early (he "dropped" his first catch before it happened to ricochet off his chest into his hands). The Colts were making plays (they earned both interceptions). And Baily, dude - spin the ball while you are stepping into your punt, not before taking steps. Finally, is Jakob J the best guy to play guard on the punt team?

Well that was fun!
Easy to fix. There was no single problem.
We screwed the pooch at everything.
Have to play better at all aspects of the game = including coaching.
Why only 2 days of practice in 2 weeks?
Now get back to work!!!!!
