if you can trade Mahomes for an extra 2nd and 7th, I'd fire that up ASAP

Looks like the talk for Mahomes is dead. So, the focus is on Adams. And the question is, whether to move up in the first or try to pull a couple later round picks. I'm leaning towards moving up. If I go into the draft not really loving my options at 3, I can always try to trade down. I will try to get him to take back my other 2nd rounder. It is at 16 overall and it may be close enough for him to take it. If not, I can always try to squeeze something else out of him later on and give up one of the 12/13 turn picks. I would be going into the draft keeping Mahomes and Diggs, so my options with all 3 of those picks are pretty open. I can start either 3 RBs or 3 WRs, with the flex, so BPA is the way to go here.

Another thing that I am bouncing around is the idea that I may not want to even explore what a deal would look like if we did a 2nd plus. It may put the idea in his head that he doesn't have to give up that #3 to get him and he may not want to go back to it if I don't like what picks he wants back from me. This guy is a very good friend of mine and we have done many deals in fantasy football. The last big deal we did, I walked away feeling like I could have gotten a lot more from him. So, I am trying to be a little more careful in negotiations. This deal is a little different than the last one, though. And I have a pretty good grasp on what he wants to accomplish. And he is already without his 5th round pick, so I don't see him being too keen on giving up anything around that hole along with his 2nd.

One last thing I was just thinking about is whether there is anything that can happen during the draft (or rest of the offseason, for that matter) to affect the values of Mahomes or Adams. Been tossing around a few things, but there's nothing that would really change much. Mahomes value could go up if they were to somehow trade for say, DK Metcalf. But is it enough for this chick to change her mind and open up talks again and make her beat this other offer? Possible, I guess, but I doubt it. Really, outside of some sort of catastrophe, which could happen to any player, really, there is no reason for me to wait to push these talks forward.

I might lean on keeping Adams & Diggs and part ways with Mahomes.

For years, this board has been littered with stats that show a QB is more replaceable than elite talent at the skill positions.

In all fairness, that is not an easy decision, especially if you dont know what other QB will be available?

But last year Mahomes imo was more pedestrian. Still good mind you, just not out-of-this-world good as he was. Losing Tyreek could be a factor too. Does Reid commit more to running the ball?

Pretty sure Allen and ARod would be the only 2 QBs kept if I dump Mahomes.

So, slight change as the team that has CMac, Jefferson, Javonte, and Devonta Smith has a new owner. I can't imagine this guy keeping Smith or cutting CMac, so either Jefferson or Javonte will be available, but not both and no CMac. Takes a little value away from the 3 overall pick.

I did throw an offer to the guy interested in Adams where he gets Adams and a 2nd (16 overall) for #3 and his choice of players (probably Jerry Jeudy, who I will drop and keep Mahomes and Diggs). He is thinking about it.

Poor new owner… has to deal with the loss of picks for a player most likely to be dropped in Smith.

Javonte would be a solid get if you can bounce to the top of the 1st somehow.

He's really the only player that I can see worth moving up for. If he's gone, which is a very good possibility at 3, I feel like I am taking my pick of about 10 guys who are all pretty close in value. Been having 2nd thoughts if I want to deal Adams, really. In the end, I feel like i still get value keeping Mahomes and really not having to worry about drafting a QB possibly at all, but at least not early. I also feel like the strategy of waiting on a QB and taking 2 or 3 guys ranked in the QB 8 to 15 range isn't a bad way to attack it this year, so maybe I hold onto the 2 WRs and throw Mahomes back in the pot. Thinking about texting dude and taking the offer off the table, if for no other reason than just to fuck with him. We can always resume talks later in the summer. We don't cut until Julyish.

12 team dynasty. PPR with some bonuses. Start QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 flex and a bunch of IDPs. Max at RB and WR position is 8 players.

My Offense...

QB - Hebert, Dak, Stafford
RB - Mixon, Chubb, Jacobs, Barkley, Michael Carter,
*WR - DHop, Evans, Mike Williams, Eli Moore, Golladay, Josh Palmer, Will Fuller, Sterling Shepard
TE - Waller, Engram

I also have 1.3, 1.7, 2.2, 2.11, and 4.11.

A guy agreed to give me CeeDee for 1.3 and I want to jump all over it, but he wants to add some pieces. He also likes Barkley. Thinking 2.2 and Barkley for Lamb? Or maybe just do the Lamb deal and work on something separate for Barkley?

I wouldnt trade Barkley... I hate trading players whose value is basically at their lowest...

if a barkley owner proposed me a trade like that, my first instinct is that the barkley owner is trying to get rid of him... and i would try to get even more...

I think if i were you here, i would START with just a flat out Barkley for Lamb... see if he bites, and then let him propose something back....

I would do the 1.3 for Lamb first, then work on a Barkley deal. I say this because Lamb is more of a sure thing then the rookie you would draft with that pick so take it and don't risk having that deal pulled. I agree with Milk in hating to trade a player (Barkley) at his lowest trade value, but in fact his value could drop if 2022 ends up badly for him. He's your RB 4 and as RB4 goes is kind of nice, so I feel you can risk holding on to him unless the offer works for you.

Hhmmmm if ya think Barcley.s value is too low to trade. Then i have to add why offer a low value for Lamb and risk pissing off the other owner and have him walk away instead of dealing Lamb for the 1.3 the he appears ready to do

I am not a fan of Barkley.
He has shown that he cannot create yards without Eli on the field.

Once did some research on RB with negative yards (zero or less). Barkley led every year. His worst year was his best year rushing. I forget how many positive yards he had, but he had over 100 negative rush yards.

He did say this was PPR... so anyone who catches 4+ balls per game is pretty valuable... especially a 3 down back...

I'd move 1.3 for Lamb in a heartbeat. I think he's worth 2 primo assets, so if you can get him by only giving up 1, you gotta do that

I'm with everybody else. I just traded Michael Carter, the 1.9 and a next year's 1st for Lamb and the 2.6 in my dynasty league so if you can get him straight up for the 1.3 I'd do it in a heartbeat especially with this year's class. After the first two running backs are gone, are there really any of these wide receivers that have near the upside of Lamb?

Or on the cowboys?? That hype train boosts trade value too.
