There's not enough talk about this kid. His power is very real, and he's more likely to stay in CF than Ramos or Bishop. He definitely belongs in the top 5, and I think he should be part of the discussion with Bart-Ramos-Luciano-Bishop are blue-chippers.

Come ‘21 or ‘22, our average starting lineup could be about 23 yo, and loaded with talent

I agree. There's some truly special talent coming through the ranks on the hitting side. I have a feeling that the national prospect sites are going to start catching on next year.

The pitching on the other hand.... yeesh. Webb, Hjelly and Santos isn't bad, and they have a lot more intriguing bullpen guys, but they really could use a true stud on the pitching side.

Side note, this is also why I think Bumgarner will be brought back.

I find it interesting that the Giants initially assigned him to Salem-Keizer after acquiring him. That was quite a jump from the DSL but then I realized he was actually in the advanced rookie Appy League with the Twins before the trade. He got knocked around in 3 starts with Salem but maybe he'll fulfill more potential as a reliever.

Bart 4-4 with a double and a 2-run homer tonight, as Richmond pulls within 31 games of .500

Fargas steals bags 47 and 48, but gets caught for the 22nd time.
Too bad Fargas' speed cannot make up for his weak bat. He would have been the lead off guy/starting center fielder on many MLB teams in the late 80s/early 90s.

Hey, Darren Ford made a small impact, maybe Fargas at least has that in him.

Has anyone mentioned that Darin Ford made a small impact?

The River Cats clinched a playoff berth last year, their first as a Giants' affiliate.
