Looks like Gordon Hayward is going to miss a month or more. He broke his left hand last night against the Spurs and will be seen by a hand specialist on Monday. If surgery is required, that will also happen on Monday.

Love this young team's chemistry so far. And with Langford, Waters, and Fall lying in wait. Red Claws are coming to DC. I might give them a look if I can work it.

Nice to see Carsen Edwards really start to show some rumblings last night... 18 pts off the bench, 4-5 on 3 pt attempts.

We get more like that with any degree of consistency... boy howdy.

The C's are already the best team in the league (record wise), and we still have plenty of ceiling to reach towards.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect any degree of consistency from late first and second round rookies.

Perhaps, I don't necessarily disagree.

My counter-argument would be that maybe Carsen isn't a typical late 1st / early 2nd pick... maybe he's special.

I think he's special. I think he's just adjusting to the big stage... but I'm confident he'll get it.

The only thing gonna slow him down is that the Celtics have a lot of scorers in front of him on the depth chart.

Edwards is going to be a steal in this draft. His personality and attitude is also stand out

celtics now have a deep team offensively. More worried about injuries right now to our great defensive players

Yep.

My main worry is that whenever Enes Kanter plays significant minutes, our team defense suffers tremendously... Kanter may be such a liability on that end that he is impossible to scheme around.

I wanted Christian wood, who would’ve cost th minimum. And used The MLE to fill another hole or depth. Although backup pg does seem like less of a need now than a month ago.

so far this is how I see Kanter too. Not warm on him fitting in without ability to quickly shift from weak side and block shots and intimidate like a Williams

Wanamaker is a pro and able to competently fill a back-up role on a part time basis... its nice to have a reliable guy like him as the injuries ebb and flow during the regular season.

What's Ojeyele's role other than guarding Bron and Giannis?

Back to being the team they were when they went to the ECF.
yup. and i have a growing man crush on carsen edwards. loved his game at purdue. his first 10 mins last night he ad 8 pts, 3 rebounds and 3 assists i think. hes getting minutes now and hes doing well. finished with 18/4/3 last night in 20 mins.

It'll be funny if the Nets miss the playoffs after getting there last with D. Russell. That Flat Earther will never take a team to a title as the # 1 guy. Glad he's no longer a Celtic.

He has plateaued... Semi is what he is at this point:

A good (not great) defender whose main strength is versatility and muscle.

And a bad offensive player who has no explosion, no hops, and a mediocre shot.
