Geno had 3 Turnovers this game right? 2 INT's and a fumble. So 4 TD and 7 Turnovers the last 3 games?

No, Seattle didn't lose a fumble today.

Frank Clark btw needs to go... he's just a worse version of Taylor... we need to trade ASAP for another EDGE run defender.

He just got here and you want him gone?

Doesnt seem like he is in game shape, and they put him in for an entire drive. He should really only be in on 3rd down passing situations.
But i do agree, they need another edge rusher

Correct. I'd rather have someone that's been here from PS... Clark allowed that EASY 4 play TD drive by himself allowing 2 broken plays and looking lost on the 3rd. He was the worst player on defense today and it wasn't close. I'd expect it from a rookie or < 5 year guy... not a vet.

Pretty happy we were still able to get the W even after the massive amount of help the Browns got from the refs

The defense is a lot better. And those timely penalties certainly hurt the defense.

But this defense still struggles with screens. And it's unclear how good their rush defense really is
Yeah, those screens killed us yesterday.Especially those middle TE ones to Njoku. And a couple of missed gap responsibilities gave them some holes. But the D is stepping up in the RZ and doing enough. I think the run D is much improved but I think it's closer to mid range than top 5 like it was early in the year. We gave up over 150 yesterday and next week will be a challenge. Facing another good Oline that likes to run downhill. And if PJ Walker can get around the outside like he did a couple times, Lamar is a lot scarier.

I really didn't want them to bring Frank back but we will see if things get better when he gets more reps. I would rather see them try to sign somebody like Suh down the stretch. I think Mafe, Hall, Taylor, Clark if he improves and timely pressures by Adams and Brooks, etc. give them enough pass rush.I don't think there's much out there to trade for as far as edge rushers. I doubt Carolina is trading Burns. Or Minny trading Hunter, who's pretty cost prohibitive anyway.

Ok, all the negative shit aside and onto Baltimore boys.
Damn, I like me some Jake Bobo. He's obviously not going to break any speed records, especially as a "mudder", but damn, he has some football smarts and runs really solid routes. And he is an excellent blocker and not afraid to get his nose dirty. Already 3 TDs and that vision and cut on the end around was just plain good, smart football. Immediately saw the edge wasn't there and put his foot in the ground to score a TD. That's instinctual.
Love, love, love what we got to see from Charbonnet. WE are starting to see what we all hoped we would. Some really solid, hit the hole runs and some really good pass pro on 3rd downs. I made it a point to concentrate on him on some of those pass blocking opportunities and he did not disappoint. Another kid not afraid to do the dirty work and just has football smarts.
Defense continues to come together. Didn't hear Witherspoon's name called much but the Browns were running the ball and appeared to be targeting away from him a lot. Woolen had the pick and got a couple of shitty calls against him but he's been struggling a bit this year at times. Hopefully, he starts getting back to being the ball hawk he was last season.
Brooks with a huge strip sack that turned into 7 points. Other than that, not as big a game as last week but Jordan is playing well. And damn, every week, I thank the football gods and Pete and Jon for bringing Wagz back into the fold. Being able to watch a first ballot HOFer every week is something we should never take for granted. And the dude is still a tackling machine.
5-2 and first place in the division is a nice place to be. Not going to get all stupid and think we are going to dominate as a top of the conference contender but the team is in a good spot. Yeah, some things could be better overall like cutting down on penalties and mistakes and still working on the 3rd down conversion rate on offense but some of that is penalties too and some cleaning up. Not going to dwell on it because at this moment, it just doesn't matter.

Oh, I forgot to say. Damn, those throwbacks looked great. 1000 times nicer than anything they've worn this century.

the offensive line played a lot better than i expected and didnt give up but 1 sack which honestly geno held onto the ball way too long.
other wise he had time, he just made a lot of bad throws, even ones you dont usually see him make like throwing it into the dirt or throwing it outside the receivers reach.
I dont put his bad game on the OL, it was pretty much entirely on geno

Did you consider the possibility that maybe Geno often had nowhere to throw the ball?

IMO, Geno was having trouble getting it to DK. Nearly all of his errant passes were to DK. Not sure why. One of the reasons why Geno wasn't sacked was because we had a lot of max protection plays. This limits the number of targets. The most notable being the 3rd and 1 where Geno rolled out and his 2 targets were completely covered. He would up throwing it away.

One good and one bad about the defense.

The good. The Seahawks have not allowed a offensive TD in the 2nd half since week 3. That's very encouraging.
The bad. The Browns ran for 155 yards on 40 carries. The Browns didn't have a lot of big runs, biggest run was 12 yards. But 40 carries suggests a lot of 4 and 5 yard runs and not a ton of stuffs.

The bad isn't the end of the world though. 40 carries is a lot of carries. But a sub-4.0 YPC isn't terrible. IMO, that is part of the reason why they only scored 17. Their offense relied running and short passes.

DK Metcalf...

14 targets, 5 receptions.

FOURTEEN TARGETS, FIVE RECEPTIONS!? What the fuck? I'm not sure if Geno is forcing him the ball because of Metcalf, Waldron, or himself, but this has gotta stop.

Yeah, that was a clear problem. Geno clearly just missed him on at least 3 or 4 balls. A few others seemed like they were simply not in sync. Also, 14 targets seems like an awful lot given how many other options this offense has.

That's what really sticks out. Did Waldron and Seattle's O forget they have tight ends? Forget they can throw to runningbacks? Forget they spent a nearly top 20 pick on a wideout (that won them the game)?

Whatever... If DK is gonna be that prima donna WR that needs to be targeted 14 times a game (and still complain if it's not a dime throw) trade him. Done with it.

I think we would have no players left on the roster if we got rid of everyone you want to get rid of. :)

on the sack play, he should have thrown it away, taking the sack took us out of FG range

Well let's see...

I've mentioned DK (mostly at this point because he seems to be toxic).... Frank Clark after one week (still stand by it but let's not pretend he's a band-aid due to an injury), Taylor but might as well keep him for now....... hmm... oh DeeJay Dallas I've mentioned... hmmm....... help me out here flyer.. uh... hmmm... uhhh.... I've mentioned Geno isn't the answer but have never mentioned getting rid of him because that's the best we've got at the moment... uhhh... hmmm...

So a few players (one of which we just signed and is a band-aid?)... c'mon bro, you're better than this.

Seriously? The line was beat almost immediately. Both edge protectors got beat and Garrett came from behind and crushed Geno. Expecting him to know that both tackles were going to blow their protection is not reasonable.
