Game Thread: Week 17: Steelers @ Seahawks Thread

Must win game... This is going to be a doozy... Has another 20-17 type of a game written all over it...

Injury status as of now:

Out: Adams, Eskridge, Peters, Clark... So surprised to see Eskridge out again...

Questionable: DK Metcalf; Walker, Witherspoon, Brooks and Bellore...

As for the Steelers, they will be without top safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and linebacker Ealdon Roberts.

The Hawks can still make the playoffs with a loss in this game if neither GB nor Minn wins out (they play each other this weekend) and with a win over AZ next week, so this is not actually a must win game. However, certainly great to be able to win your way into the playoffs w/o relying on results of other games. But playoff hopes are definitely still alive without the result we want here.

Steelers recently lost to NE and Arizona in b2b weeks, so I think what Mason Rudolph pulled off last game is a false sense of security for them. They're not a very good team, and their offense has taken lots of heat pretty much all season. A sad state of affairs if we cannot figure out how to come out with a W here against a 3rd string QB, but I am confident things will turn out ok.

I'd like to see Witherspoon back. Sadly I think he's gonna go the same route as Adams. Smaller body, too much damage. Great while it lasted, I guess... we couldn't get Stroud so whatever. Carter has been beat up too...

We rarely blow anybody out, but this would be a great opportunity to do it.

Yeah, I'll never predict a blowout with this team, but this maps out to be one of the easier opponents of the schedule.

I can see the Hawks losing this game on a last minute turn over sealing it for the steelers.

There is NO WAY IN HELL this team should lose to the steelers at home or even winning close. I see a gifted TO though.

I don’t know, 2 first round picks, a 3rd round pick, and we gave up a safety who was playing really well at the time … We got Jamal and a 4th round pick …That’s pretty effin bad

You need to stop Shark with the smaller body thing. It really isn't a thing. Witherspoon is virtually the exact same size as Ronde Barber was and Antoine Winfield who had long, successful careers. Bigger guys get hurt just as much or even more than smaller guys in this league.

As for the game, I hope we can stay reasonably healthy and pull off a win and just keep the momentum going. Win both our remaining games and play solid. I don't need a blow-out or anything spectacular. Just clean and fix some of the problems like penalties. Hopefully the defense has a good outing.

Agreed. I see no reason why this shouldn't be a win. I don't care about by how much. We are playing a team here that recently lost b2b games to the Patriots and Cardinals, who both had 2 wins at the time. This just has to be a W.
