If I’m George (and yes, I am) and the GM (oh no I’m not), I would be making the decision for what’s best for the team regardless of the ownership issue. Now there is another familiar name that is President that may have some say and of course the Three Stooges in power will also have some input due to financial considerations.

I don’t think maybe the top candidates would take the HC job with the Broncos over say, the Raiders. But often the top candidates don‘t always become the top coaches.
So, you would not hire the top candidates?

I’m just saying the expected top dog sometimes come without being potty trained.

Ask a Colts fan if they are disappointed that they didn’t end up with McDaniels and had to settle for Reich.

From the DPO

“Billionaires interested in purchasing the Broncos, get your offers ready.

The last remaining hurdle for the Broncos to be put on the market was removed Tuesday in Denver’s Second District Court when Judge Shelly I. Gilman ruled late owner Edgar Kaiser’s right of first refusal provision was not transferrable.

In a 41-page ruling, Gilman wrote, “the right of first refusal … between Edgar F. Kaiser, Jr. and Patrick D. Bowlen … is no longer valid or enforceable in any respect.”

Translation: Broncos president/CEO Joe Ellis can lead the process to sell the team without interference from ROFR Holdings.”

So, you're saying you're out as a potential owner?

I would agree. Would be really cool to see and I think he would be a good owner. Looks like both Manning and Elway will be part of separate groups bidding.
My understanding from talking to those in the know say the trust is set up so they have to take the highest offer the NFL approves so it is really going to come down to $$$$$ over everything.

I was a candidate until I started following DC's gambling advice. Now I'm not only broke but paying for therapy.
He puts his advice out on the internet to get the action moving in the opposite direction of his real bet - at better odds. He doesn't do it on purpose, but he does benefit from it.

I would going to say isn't that exactly what Pat did. To many owners of these teams don't do that because of their ego which is why I think Smith would be a great owner as he doesn't seem to have that ego.

Let's see if my $4B offer will get any attention.

It's not the money, it's the $2.5M monthly loan payments that will kill me. This bank won't take me to court, they'll break my legs and cut off my fingers. That's just for missing the first payment.

Just trying to inject a little humor.

Staying Florida for two months with no cable is torture since it's not warm enough to go to the beach.

My apologies.

Ignore DC - he’s in a foul mood today. And most days. ;)
