I remember when Husker fans clowned me for saying Pellini was a garbage coach that would never win 3 years ago. His teams just never improve in any area, and there is ALWAYS a complete failure in a game or two of the entire team.

Good luck finding a new coach. I think football is more interesting when Nebraska is competitive and expected to win big games. Not sure who I'd shortlist for that job right now......but it would have to be a fairly well known name.

If they're going the coordinator route, Narduzzi is the only guy I'd pursue. But I would really sit down and think about the kind of football you want to play. Smashmouth? Or spread? What is Nebraska's identity? What type of players can you recruit consistently to run it? And who are the coaches that fit that mold?

This. We just don't have it. Hopefully whoever we bring in can establish a culture and identity that is consistent.

You can't fault fans for giving a guy a chance. 4 or 5 years is a "chance".

I threw in the towel on him 2 years ago after 5.

Pinkel should be the hottest name going at schools that take their football seriously. Looking at you Michigan,UF,Nebraska

Pinkel COULD NOT beat Pelini after Pelini had installed his system. :L

You guys really like to make yourselves look foolish.

FYI, I said the same thing about Callahan after one season, so many just thought I was a hater. But any HC that makes the mind numbingly stupid decisions that Callahan was making IN GAMES is not a quality coach. I mean seriously, calling for a fake punt, on your own 20 yard line, in the first quarter of a game, down 7-0??? After I saw that, and the Kansas game, I knew that dude was useless, and a complete joke. But I understand fans supporting their coaches. I'm the type that will call for a guys head the minute I see a critical, fatal flaw, not being corrected after a year.

You should apply for Athletic Director at Texas.
