Trading Jahan is supposedly not out of the question.

The Skins will certainly sign another WR after cuts this weekend.

Do a little math Dean. It is not hard. Dotson averaged 3 catches per game and 44 yards.

If we put him at 15 games, equal to Olave, that is 44 catches for 640 yards. What a joke…Olave had over 1000.

Then you want to make a big deal about the 7 TDs. He is not Megatron and he is not Desean Jackson. Those guys were special and that is why they had TDs. Dotson was just fortunate.

but he would have had a chance to have double digit TD's if he stood healthy. He didn't suck like you said he did. Of course this is all speculation. Botton line I didn't like to see him go to the Eagles. I understand why they traded him. Maybe there is something else that is coming.

I am not disputing he may have had ten touchdowns…I am saying he wouldn’t have sniffed ROY.

I didn’t want him to go there either but I hope he continues to suck.

That is the attitude Dotson should have.

Playing with AJ, Devontae and Goedert .... he will do well. I said before they traded him, wherever he goes he play well.

We'll see about this group but, the prior group destroyed any potential of the players under their watch. His role from day one here, was always as a slot receiver, how professional in the field couldn't or wouldn't know that is baffling. My theory is the current group recognized this but had other near equivalent cheaper alternatives and so this move was made. It's likely this trade has saved his career and I wish him well. It's too bad that others under the previous regime weren't as fortunate.

I really don't know how to feel about this trade. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall. It feels like this was more of a Dan Quinn thing.

Maybe Dotson was sulking. Maybe he wasn't playing with his hair on fire. Maybe he just can't get off the line without being put in motion.

It just seemed like he didn't fit the mental makeup of what Quinn wants in his team.

That said, I'd feel a lot better about Sunday if Dotson was still here.

Getting that extra 3rd could allow us to trade back into the first round. I trust Adam to do right with the compensation.

i dont buy the bs he got traded b/c he cant block. With Dynami have a good camp and Luke getting drafted, Dotson had to have a good camp. He didnt. If he didnt fit here so be it, but the guy has talent it just had to be developed. Peters and Qunn gave up on him so they let him go. Could come back to bite us especially playing for the Eagles.

Lets hope Luke and Brwon step up big this year so we can forget about it.

I guess the league spoke. Adam was on Grant and Danny and said if the deals were the same he would have dealt him outside of the division. That tells me a 3rd and two 7s for Dotson and a 5 was the best we could get.

its a quick trigger but AP valued the draft pick.

Very quick trigger. Just a hunch, Dan went to Adam. I could be WAY off though.

Could be. I think Adam went to Dan b/c he drafted Luke. If Dotson stayed Luke wouldn't have seen the field if Dotson was the slot WR. plus OZ had a good camp. That didnt help either

Yeah, but they knew Dotson was there when they drafted Luke. I agree with your earlier point. Had a bad camp in the eyes of whomever drove the trade.

Right, so the writing was already on the wall. Add that to the bad camp and the so called not giving it 1000% Peters made the move.

I have no idea. You could be right. I don't buy the notion that Dotson wasn't in their plans though.

drafting Luke that high it came across my mind but i would have never predicted a trade for Dotson this off season.

Pick 100 is not early. At pick 100, you take the best player on your board. You don’t necessarily ”have plans.”

Dotson was definitely in their plans but he did not perform. They got what they could for him, a mistake of a pick.

Maybe it's all about 2025. It's really early to be talking 2025 draft, but there might be a situation where Peters can package our 3's with our 1 to go get a Tetairoa McMillan, Benjamin Morrison, or Travis Hunter.
