I am assuming Allen is Kazmeir Allen and he has no NFL stats so that great season is not quite true.

Keenan Allen who garnered a fourth from Chicago. He put up over 100 catches, over 1250 yards, and 7 TDs.

Dotson has done nothing.

Eagles are paying the 3rd round pick b/c of potential and Dotson's age.

What potential has he shown? He has shown the ability to drop passes, not get off the line, and not be able to block.

OK…so he is young and sucks…congrats.

You didn't like his rookie year? Yes, last year was a disaster. Eagles paid a 3rd on potential., he is 25. If he sucks why give up a 3rd?

Not really. He caught about 55% of his targets. That is not impressive. Same thing as last season. What we really remember about him is his key drops last season.

Because they did not give up a third…they also received a fifth.

If he doesn’t suck, why did we let him go for a third?See…your logic goes both ways because two teams are involved.

he had a good rookie year and almost won OROY. He probably would of he didnt get hurt. True we had to give a 5th back. I dont like giving him to the Eagles. I hope this move was to pave the way for BA with the extra 3rd we have.

ESPN’s John Keim writes Luke McCaffrey “has not emerged as an obvious top-four wideout [for the Commanders] to open the season.”
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. McCaffrey was a consensus Day 3 pick by draft experts and wound up being taken No. 100 overall. The five-year prospect has only been playing receiver for two seasons but didn’t begin seeing meaningful snaps until last season while at Rice. McCaffrey’s elite family bloodlines and athleticism have made him an interesting name to monitor for fantasy managers, but it doesn’t sound like he’s anywhere close to earning a starting gig. Olamide Zaccheaus and Dyami Brown seem to be the No. 2 and No. 3 receivers in Washington for the time being.

Almost won ROY? Stay off the crack pipe.

Garrett Wilson had 83 catches for 1,103 yards and 4 TDs.
Chris Olave had 72 catches for 1,042 yards and 4 TDS while playing 15 games.
Kenneth Walker rushed for 1,050 yards and 9 TDs plus 165 receiving in 15 games.

Jahan Dotson in 12 games had 35 catches for 523 yards and 7 TDs. That is nowhere close to almost winning ROY. He wasn’t even considered for the award.

b/c he got hurt and played 12 games. Add those stats. you are not realizing he missed time and still had 7 Td's

would have had double digit td's none of those guys had that

How is this not obvious? I like Luke he has an interesting bloodline but his severe lack of experience is compounded by being new at the position. The question about him is can they somehow get him on the practice squad?

lol PS? 3rd round pick you would think he can be a 4th Wr on our team with the trade of Dotson

Nope!
If he's not there to be further developed, this WR group is far worse than even I thought it to be. Btw: I thought it to be one of the worse in the league with Dotson.

thats a stretch. I dont buy Dotson was one of the worst Wr's in the league. If he didn't fit what Peters and KK wanted to do than that is another thing.

I don't believe that Dotson was one of the worst in the league either. I've written this from the day that he was treated that he was better suited as a slot receiver. I went further and stated that Washington is playing all of their top-line receivers out of position. Terry is better suited as a WR2, Dotson a slot, which is exactly where Philly will primarily play him...guaranteed!

agree, they could have used Dotson in the slot, but they drafted Mcaffery and signed OZ. I thought the two outside wrs were going to be tmac and Brown with Dotson in the slot.

Mix and/or match this group is still among the worst in the league. Outside of TM...????

Do a little math Dean. It is not hard. Dotson averaged 3 catches per game and 44 yards.

If we put him at 15 games, equal to Olave, that is 44 catches for 640 yards. What a joke…Olave had over 1000.

Then you want to make a big deal about the 7 TDs. He is not Megatron and he is not Desean Jackson. Those guys were special and that is why they had TDs. Dotson was just fortunate.
