To be serious, Herbstreit is wrong in his assessment that Oregon could afford to lose this game and not have it affect their playoff chances. It won't if they win out, but I don't think they'll win out. They'll do their usual Oregon thing and get cocky by the end of October and lose a game they shouldn't. It's what they do...

As for Herbstreit - if Oregon was to win out and if Michigan St was to win out, I could see a rematch in the playoffs.

If Oregon wins the Pac12 and Ohio St beats Michigan St and wins the Big10, then I'm not sure Oregon gets in. Depends on how the Big12/ACC/SEC looks.

Not sure Oregon wins the Pac12 though.
