Backup QB

Well Shaun Hill has signed with the Rams, and our options for backup QB's are small. I don't think our current coaching staff is high on Kellen Moore, who I think was the previous coaching staff's project. As for our backup QB, I honestly wouldnt mind Sanchez or Freeman, but I think those 2 are gonna want alot of money. I wouldn't mind drafting Aaron Murray as he is familiar with Stafford (Both went to Georgia), AJ Mccaron, or Zack Mettenerg in the 4th or 5th rd if they are there.

Major upgrade at QB for the Rams. They should think about cutting Bradford now. Hill is good enough to buy them a year or two to find and groom their next QB.

The Lions have too many holes to waste a pick on another young QB. Grab a vet and hope Stafford doesn't get hurt too bad.

We were talking about Freeman in the other thread. He is worth a shot for the right price. I am sure it is sinking in with him that he is no longer a starter in the NFL.

yes, stafford is not elite. Neither are 28 of the 32 starting QBs in the league. You're lucky you have one of them.

Not for long though! It's going to be fun to watch the wheels fall of in New England when Brady hangs them up in a year or two.

I don't mind their team one bit- they're clearly very good, but Boston sports fans have become the biggest bunch of assholes on the sporting planet in the last 10 years or so... their historically crappy football and baseball teams both made impressive turnarounds and are now both consistently winners, and apparently that's a license to be a douche if you happen to support the Pats or Sawks...

Inevitable with the Lions' current cap situation. It's not like we're a contender if Staff goes down, so what's the problem? Capable backups are for complete teams who can win with a lesser QB in place, or whose starter is shaky and may need replacing.


Don't forget that the Bruins are also relevant again after 30 years in the desert. Only the Celtics blow right now.
