Not his fault but he gave hope to the hopelessly hopeful because he was "better" than the trash that preceded him.Besides his INT, which was a bonehead pass common amongst rookies, what else did he do wrong?

i wouldnt say he did much else wrong . i will say that he faced a vanilla defense and we need to see him make adjustmentsBesides his INT, which was a bonehead pass common amongst rookies, what else did he do wrong?
Of course not. But when you are looking to develop ayoung QB into A NFL QB, Howell displayed almost every attribute you want. Rocket arm, pocket awareness, situationally aware, quick reads, legs to extend the drive, and poise. Now, focus on that oline and see if Howell can be developed. But continue to draft a QB every year until you find one that can.One game does not a QB make. Howell did some interesting things. He has a good arm and decent wheels but we need to see a lot more.
That is what I would do if I were Chicago.I want to be clear, I’m not against Fields, I’m just against trading for him or anyone else. If I were Chicago, I’d be committed to fields and use my 1st to protect him, give him weapons, etc. commit and develop.
That is precisely what Chicago should do, but their GM, who seems smartly going about his business won't rule out any option at this point and if he decides to draft a QB with pick #1, Washington would be normally foolish not to go after Fields.I want to be clear, I’m not against Fields, I’m just against trading for him or anyone else. I am curious about your plan to get a QB here though, but first, let me state that I have no reason to believe in Howell or disbelieve in him beyond the idiot HC who openly declared him "not ready" and consequently the starter for 2023. I put zero stock in his one-game appearance because we've seen those one-game flash in the pan, never to be seen again players for generations.
Now, exactly how does Washington "find" its QB by not trading up to get one, not trading for one but continuing to draft one in the middle first their historical place in drafting, or later round selections? This has actually been their plan forever and I have yet to see evidence that it works for this organization. (Kirk Cousins included)
I disagree with you premise. I think we have a QB that has all the skill sets. Now we need to see if he is an nfl QB or not. As insurance , I draft a qb this year and next. Do not use the 1st pick on a qb. Then draft a qb next year……sign whomever as the backup This year.
how do you make that deal if you burn your draft and kill your cap ?By the way, group, if there's anyone considering trade scenarios for Lamar Jackson there's an article outlining what the Atlanta Falcon must give up to get him. It's pure speculation of course, but here are the proposed details.
Falcons get: Lamar Jackson, 2023 3rd-round pick, 2024 4th-round pick
Ravens get: 2023 1st-round pick, 2024 1st-round pick, 2025 1st-round pick, 2023 3rd-round pick, 2023 5th-round pick, 2024 2nd-round pick

Ain’t no way you trade that much for a rbI would seriously laugh at that kind of trade. By the time you can build a team again, he will be slower and injured.
I am sure there were but not at that price. Besides, he is leaving his teammates high and dry right now.I memory serves, there has been a poster or two that wanted to trade for him.
The organization left him high and dry for two years now, I don't blame him for taking the risk over that period of time, but c'mon enough is enough!I am sure there were but not at that price. Besides, he is leaving his teammates high and dry right now.
What the organization did does not excuse what he did to his teammates. Multiple things can be wrong. The organization left him high and dry for two years now, I don't blame him for taking the risk over that period of time, but c'mon enough is enough!
What exactly do you believe he's done to his teammates?
How do you know this? Isn't it possible that the organization made the decision on an injured player traveling or not traveling with the team? Right now all that anyone has on the subject is "The reason was unclear," yet the onus falls on the player. In a team game, if you are their leader, you show up. He has abandoned them.
