Doug...Harbaugh left a pretty stinky aura in SF.

Yep.

That guy was a fucking muppet.

And that's with Brantley being a non-factor.

That's not to say that the Indians couldn't use a few upgrades. Catcher's been an absolute black hole (Gomes and Gimenez each sport an OPS+ south of 50). Uribe might finally be done, though we were saying that back in 2011-12 and then he put together three solid/good seasons.

But the lineup certainly hasn't dragged them down.

I didn't re-read the whole exchange with Dirt, but if I remember correctly, he backed off the "worst, hands down" bit, which is what I took exception to. Everyone -- including me -- had reservations about their lineup, saying it was a weakness wasn't a big deal. Saying it was the worst when there were teams like the Braves, Phillies, Padres, etc out there was just overboard.

Now, I will concede the point that so far this year, much, much more often than not, Yan Gomes has been a bum.

I'm with you. Two months does not make a season. There's still a lot of baseball left and I do not expect the Indians to finish in the top 3rd of runs scored.

The Indians have scored three fewer runs than the Tigers.

Yep, the Indians are 6th in the AL in runs scored, and I suspect that is a little bit higher than normal for that lineup (especially considering Brantley isn't in it). But their 4th ranked pitching is real.

Is that a hot dog in a baked potato?

Or a baked potato with a hot dog?

I'm still full from my "doughnut"....
It's a tater-dog! Because complex carbs and ground up pig assholes shaped into wieners are awesome.

Geez. Napoli was always strikeout prone (career 27%), but this year, he's striking out 36.6% of the time. To go from 25.2% to 36.6% in a one year span is absurd. He's putting up sexy power numbers again though.
