Tigers don't worry to much about drafting...tigers mold a player. Turn them into real big leaguers. Like jimbo does with football players

I agree he'll be very close. I'm sure he'll be a guest at the AL MVP ceremony.

Morneau looks very excited to be a part of the White Sox franchise.

LOL ... mold them so their GM can trade them away for aging stars.

My first cuz was a 12 rounder in 2012, he's a Hosmer clone, but he's still stuck in A ball. He's got the power and a lot of hitting potential. Just has a lot to learn about hitting. I say this guy has a 30-40% chance of making it someday.

Yep. Verlander still has some good to very good seasons left in him. But his best chance to get to a Cy Young or MVP ceremony, IMO, is to buy a ticket.

What organization drafted him?

My older brother was drafted in the 3rd round by the Twins in 1982. Got close to The Show a couple of years, but was injured in August (right before the Sep. expansion) on freak plays both years.

Believe it or not it was the Royals and the got from KC at Longview community college where he was batting .375 and had 16 homers in the first 2 months when team started calling him. The Cardinals promised they were going to get him around round 6. Instead the Royals got him in #12.

That's pretty cool. :thumb:

It was also cool that Toledo was briefly a Twins affiliate ... during the time he was playing. Just a 90-minute drive to go watch him play in AAA whenever we wanted to.
