I'm with you. Two months does not make a season. There's still a lot of baseball left and I do not expect the Indians to finish in the top 3rd of runs scored.

Absolutely. But it's certainly a serviceable lineup, especially with the Indians pitching. And it's always fun to take a shot at Vice, even if he's b&.

Not everyone can mash like the Yankees (88 wRC+).
Thats the one where the leaque average is adjusted to 100 right? Impressive. I wonder what the Royals wRC+ is over the past 7 games or the whole season for that matter.

The Cleveland Indians lead (tied, nobody gives a shit bout the Rangers though) the league in sacrifice flies.

But the Tigers do have more stolen bases than Rajai Davis, which is good. The Mets and Orioles don't.

The Royals started 11-5, then went on a 6-14 stint, then came around and went 13-3, then got plowed 7 straight. I know that its a long season but this kind of play doesn't seem like the makeup of a champion. No stopper in the rotation, no Hitter that will always step up just when you need someone. No doubt the injuries hurt. Facts are we got one good outfielder and the pitchers have no mojo this year. I would definitely be getting a high quality SP and a veteran outfielder. After all we're still in this. We suck and and still a game over .500. And I don't think the Central is all what people thought it could be. There are 4 ave or better teams, but 90 games will win this I believe.

The Mets, despite all their die-hard fans telling me that their offense was super-duper awesome, have only scored more runs than the Braves and Phillies.

Geez. Napoli was always strikeout prone (career 27%), but this year, he's striking out 36.6% of the time. To go from 25.2% to 36.6% in a one year span is absurd. He's putting up sexy power numbers again though.

Justin Upton is still envious. Similar strikeout rate (34.5%), but 10 fewer home runs.

I doubt any one of these clubs gets to 90 tbh.

Good point, Smitty. Their OBP is also above league average, so I assume their lack of runs will be correcting itself.
I think their OBP is on the low side though.

Only the lowly Braves have a lower BA.

Maybe the amount of homers will slow down? Since Duda went on the DL, I really haven't paid much attention to them.

Mets are 10th in the NL in OBP. 23rd in MLB. Doesn't help that Duda's OBP (.297) is 54 points than his OBP from 2013-15 (.351), and he just got hurt. Grandy's OBP has dropped from .364 to .300. Grandy does have a .231 BABIP, so you'd expect the BA to rise eventually. But he's also getting up there in age (35), and he was pretty below average in 2014.

Catcher's been just as much of a problem (offensively) for the Mets as it's been for the Tribe. d'Arnaud's shown promise, but at this point, you have to wonder if he'll ever be able to handle catching on a daily basis.

Duda had 7 home runs in 39 games before hitting the DL. Mets have hit 28 home runs the last 28 days (13 in their last 12). But their OPS over that 28 day span is just .663.

I thought the Mets lineup looked awfully good coming into the season, but that heavily depended on health. Mets don't have a lot of depth.

Pretty sure d'Arnaud is French, so he won't be able to handle much more than a flute of rosé and a dick rubbing on his cheek.
