Maybe my first sports hero growing up. Gordie Howe or Bill Freehan (I was a catcher in Pee Wee league), I can't remember who was first.

I saw The Gord live at the old Olympia when I was about 7 or 8. Don't remember much. Gordie scored a goal, and I think the Wings won 5-0.

How many can say that. I wish I could have seen Ali fight or Jordan play, or Babe Ruth or Pele. I have seen Montana and Elway and Manning.

Kind of saddens me I am simply not old enough to have seen (or if I did see Elway and Montana, I don't remember it well) some of these players.

My first cuz was a 12 rounder in 2012, he's a Hosmer clone, but he's still stuck in A ball. He's got the power and a lot of hitting potential. Just has a lot to learn about hitting. I say this guy has a 30-40% chance of making it someday.

My neighbors son, Keegan Aiken, a fellow Bronco, got drafted 54th by the Os yesterday.
