obviously the Tribe's starting pitching begins with 3 really really good starters in Kluber, Carrasco, Salazar--- and a talented but somewhat underacheiving (and still very young Trevor Bauer)

there is a lot more where that came from though

Cody Anderson was great last year and looks a lot better this year- he is throwing GAS in spring training and added a pitch

Mike Clevinger- who they traded for after Tommy John surgery- is throwing GREAT and looks like he could be a top half of the rotation starter

Rob Kaminsky is a very solid lefty they got in the Moss trade- former first round pick that has really good stuff--- Justus Sheffield is another lefty that has a nice ceilign as well.

Tomlin just signed a 2 year contract and while his stuff is not overpowering he has graet command and pitched really well last year after he came back from injury.

This doesnt even count Aiken- who was the #1 overall pick in teh draft until he didnt sign- had Tommy John- and was drafted the next year by the Indians in the top 20--- he has potential #1 or at worst #2 stuff but is still pretty far away.

The Indians starting rotation depth goes as deep is 8 or 9 guys...if they are in it and need to make a move at the deadline they without a doubt have the pitching to make a good deal. Tribe is just LOADED with starting pitching. Not only that- but ALL of them- even the really good guys- are under club control at very reasonable deals for YEARS to come.

thanks for the homer view of the indians... Maybe you should post shit like this on the indians board where people give a shit about suck ass cody anderson or limp dick tomlin.

What is your opinion of the tribes shitty ass outfield? Their lineup has 6 holes in it... Like your socks.

Seriously... The indians lineup is so shitty they better hope their starters come out strong... They are going to be lucky to score 3 runs a game.

"The game is becoming a freaking joke because of the nerds who are running it. I'll tell you what has happened, these guys played Rotisserie baseball at Harvard or wherever the f--- they went and they thought they figured the f---ing game out. They don't know s---."

"A bunch of f---ing nerds running the game. You can't slide into second base. You can't take out the f---ing catcher because [Buster] Posey was in the wrong position and they are going to change all the rules. You can't pitch inside anymore. I'd like to knock some of these f---ers on their ass and see how they would do against pitchers in the old days."

homer view?

I was merely commenting on the starting pitching....everything on there was true. While Daniel

say what you will about Anderson and Tomlins ceilings- but they combined to go 14-5 with an ERA of 3.03 down the stretch for the tribe last year.......Aiken is without a doubt a big time prospect- a lefty throwing 95 plus with that type of makeup...... Clevinger has made huge strides--- and Sheffield and Kaminsky- two lefties that profile as big league starters, while not A prospects by any means- certainly have value.

Not only having Kluber, Carrasco, Salazar, Bauer all locked up for AT LEAST the next 3-4 years COMBINED around than what Jordan Zimmerman signed for--- having the other guys and prospects- Anderson, Tomlin, Aiken, Sheffield, Clevinger, Kaminsky---- that some serious ammo to make a move if they need to.

aiken isn't a "big time prospect" anymore... he isn't even in the top 100 prospects on mlb.com's list... his arm is about to fall off. seriously.. you are the doug of the indians fans.

I actually am not a huge fan of McCann to be honest.. Not even in my top 20 favorites on the tigers current roster.

The 2015 Braves had the lowest RS/G rate in baseball last year at 3.5. The 2015 Indians matched the MLB average at 4.2 RS/G. By most projections, the Indians' improved their lineup for 2016, but yeah, they'll probably be lucky to regress RS by 29%. . .

It's funny that Goose is so intimidated by intelligent people seeking knowledge that he'll cast blame on them for things they have nothing to do with.

I happen to agree with him that there should still be collisions at the plate et cetera, but that has much more to do with the amount of money these high-profile players are being paid than it does with sabermetrics.

Another day goes by with my name dominating the topics here... Why not try and talk baseball. Maybe I can help you guys with your SportsHoopla bookie bets... Some of you don't seem to have stacks of cheddar as tall and fat as mine.
When you need a loan, come talk to Smitty.
