Actually they don't always win.

They dont take large losses either. Even if I wasn't a Seahawks fan I would still recognize the Broncos as a sucker bet at this point.

having ESPN predict the winner is like the kiss of death

Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force picked the Seahawks. He has been the Kiss of Death all year

You're right. I should have clarified a little. Your posts are high in entertainment value. As far as intelligence, let's just say they leave something to be desired.

I would rather be entertaining than intelligent, so mission accomplished, I guess. :suds:

Denver's defense is about as potent as Seattle's offence. Neither are spectacular. But Denver does play well against Seattle's strength on offense, the run game. And Denver's offense put historic numbers this season while Seattle's Defense was great, but not historically great. So even if Seattle manages to slow Peyton down a little, I still don't see their offense making up the difference.

31-19 Broncos.

-8 of those picking the Broncos picked them to do so by 7 points or more.
-Nobody picked the Seahawks to win by more than 6 points.
-5 picked the Broncos to win by 10 or more points.
-Mark Schlereth went full bias and picked the Broncos to blow the Seahawks out 31-17

31-17 isn't necessarily a blow out. It could be like the Saints/Colts superbowl a few years ago when it was 24-17 late in the 4th before a defensive TD happened

All I have heard on the radio, including our local sports commentators, have picked the Seahawks. I wonder if it is an East/West coast bias. I picked the broncos to win 24-17.

The sharp money is on Seattle ...

I heard someone say the same thing on the radio today. Always makes me laugh to hear the phrase "sharp money" before the end of the game, since that all depends on which team ends up covering.
