No real recent history between the two...that is what makes this game a bit of a mystery. I'm hoping for a good game with no injuries.

No recent history, but they were AFC West rivals for many years. The teams change but the long enduring fans remember. I think that's a pretty special storyline. In the history of the Super Bowl, how many times have we seen former division rivals play? As far as I know, the Bucs-Raiders Super Bowl is the only time. And the Bucs were only in the AFC West one year so that they and the Seahawks alike would play every other NFL team within their first two seasons.

What was all this previous talk about the Broncos blowing the Hawks out of the water though? How this shouldn't even be close? You talked as if this game was a slam dunk and now, on the eve of the game, you are trying to walk back all of those cocky comments to lessen the blow to your ego in the event that you are wrong? regardless of what anyone says, this game could easily go either way. this is a pretty good match-up. we have the 2 best teams in the league facing off and seem to be evenly matched.

personally, i'm giving a very slight edge to the hawks but it could really go either way.
