I'm just here to troll everyone
But FZ got him the first time via tradeFZ was stalling, Posey had to step in to make it happen. Those are the facts, and I’m not changing them one bit.

???But FZ got him the first time via trade
Oh shit I forgot FZ signed him to a 3 year deal first...that's all I meant, we got him twice, first FZ got him then Posey basically got him to sign the extension.???
Who did we give up to get Chappy?
Find it very interesting ... that living in Canada now ... ALL I see relating to Burnes is that he-s is coming to Toranto. It's on the telivision, in the local media ... little if any mention of SF. Makes one wonder is there any truth to anything the media says. .. how can these two sources be so out of sync wirh each other ...
Great question. Seeing local information from the Bay Area, it seems likely that he is a Giant. Read national news like MLBTR and both teams are contenders, along with a couple of others. A great remainder to take rumors as they are . . . rumors . . . and not get too excited until an announcement is made.Find it very interesting ... that living in Canada now ... Boras owned FZ. Posey did an end around on Boras to lock in Chappy. It is yet to be determined if the Giants are still Boras’ bitch. And this article highlights what we are talking about regarding media reports on Burnes. I forgot that he is a Boras' client, so there is also that.
Latest On Giants, Corbin Burnes
With Max Fried joining the Yankees and Garrett Crochet landing with the Red Sox, all eyes are on Corbin Burnes. …www.mlbtraderumors.com
The national pundits have the Giants as the presumptive favorite. This isn't a Bay Area thing.Great question. Seeing local information from the Bay Area, it seems likely that he is a Giant. Speaking of which, the next two hours will make a big difference between Correa and Adames.
For Hockey I check everyday on TSN (canadian) and they are very provincial on their coverage. they recap games all of the Canadian teams and only some non-Canadian teams. They are very focused on home teams. I wouldn't take it to seriously. Well any home teams coverage will also show some provincialism in their coverage so take that into account.Find it very interesting ... that living in Canada now ... Except some of the national pundits don't have the Giants as favorites. Did you read the MLBTR article? The national pundits have the Giants as the presumptive favorite. This isn't a Bay Area thing.
Sure, but many/most do have us as the favorites. The point is that its not a Bay Area bias thing.Except some of the national pundits don't have the Giants as favorites. Did you read the MLBTR article?
Hockey is HUGE here in Nova Scotia. It is definitely the national sport of Canada. I grew up in the staes (NY) and there it was a mix of sports. NY had professional teams in all sports. My farorite growing up was baseball. Had many little league openings all over the area. Canada is all about hockey. The kids here grow up with the game. There are MANY junior hockey leagues here. There are more junior league hockey arenas (indoor) than there are baseball field complexes. We are also hockey fans so it isnt a bad thing for us. Junior league hockey is something I never saw before. I can truly say that some of these 12 year old kids are 'scary' good. For Hockey I check everyday on TSN (canadian) and they are very provincial on their coverage. they recap games all of the Canadian teams and only some non-Canadian teams. I don’t think we have a comparable package. I think Smith is the prize of that, and we don’t have an equivalent. Eldridge appears to be a MUCH bigger prospect than Smith, but he is the closest comparable we have to him.Tucker to Cubs
Paredes/Wesneski/Smith to Houston
I wonder what the SF equivalent of that deal would have been?
Paredes is a dump, in my opinion. His bat was slumping when the Cubs acquired him at the deadline from the Rays. They had hoped, I assume, that it was temporary but he continued to not hit with the Cubs. They are selling low, in a sense, on him because of that. But, then again, maybe not because the Astros are probably banking on the same thing, his bat returns in Houston. I'd say the closest to him is LaMonte Wade, Jr.Tucker to Cubs
