Seems the team wasn't in any hurry to let him go after he got arrested. It happened last Friday but the news just leaked today. He has appeared in a couple of games since then.

The story in The Athletic has Maybin telling the police that he had five glasses of wine at dinner with his agent. The police asked how big the glasses were, and Maybin replied, "Pretty big."

Maybin told police that he was driving to the Hilton Villas to meet with his agent after dinner at Ocean 44 restaurant and subsequent time at his friend’s house. Maybin told police that he had consumed five glasses of wine at Ocean 44. When police asked about the size of these glasses, Maybin stated “they were pretty big,” according to the arrest report. Maybin also failed several walking tests.

Took me a minute to get that tweet. Rendon showed no signs of being so injury plagued when he hit free agency. Angels have made some bone headed decisions in free agency over the years. I don’t blame them for that one.

I knew he's made some comments that have really inflamed Angels' fans. I didn't know they went back that far.
