Sounds like Kim won’t even be ready for the start of the 2025 season. Posey must pass on Kim.As much as I've expressed concern about Snell, signing him would not mean losing any draft picks. And I have to admit he is one of the best of the starting pitchers on the free agent market. However, my concerns about whether he found his tempo long term is valid but the bigger issue is whether or not the team and/or Snell want him in a Giants' uniform in 2025 and beyond. If there really is bad blood between the two then it does not matter the other concerns.
And I'm not very excited about Kim. The surgery puts a big question mark on how good he will be moving forward defensively. He could stay just as good or he could slip a couple of notches. It is his defense that gives him value so I think signing him is not what the Giants need if they are going to try to build a contender for 2025.
